Sorry, I'm just confused. I was switching because whenever I said something, people would call me out.

..Ah. I think I get it. People are going to call you out anyway, because the reasoning behind votes and the such is our main source of information. You've just gotta stick to your own judgement sometimes. Try to be more sure of yourself.

Managed to sneak a minute on mobile.

Personally, I think Vapor is just new-playering. In my first game I switched my vote multiple times early as well and backed off and defended myself plenty of times when it wasn’t necessary.  Now I realize those weren’t the best tactics and probably Vapor doesn’t. A couple of suspicions on you really isn’t that big of a deal. ;)

I suppose a Pyro/Fifth tie would be fine. Currently Pyro is up 4-1.

Edit: Apparently this was my 500th post. Cool. ^_^

Well that one vote for sure did incite a bandwagon, up to five votes at one point. Fifth hasn't responded yet, but it looks like that train blew itself out and switched over to the last Fifth voter. Some useful information probably came out of this. I don't really think Pyro is evil, or at least I'm pretty sure Pyro was telling the truth about his vote being merely a placeholder. Two of the Fifth voters are now voting for Pyro, so it's not about saving either in the case that we have Fifth/Pyro evil together. I can see elims jumping on the Fifth wagon regardless of his alignment; I can't really say that the surge and dissolution of votes means anything about Fifth. @Matrim's Dice, if you don't like the Fifth bandwagon, is there something specific about Fifth that you'd be fine with him being lynched?

I'd like to point out that between you saying you wanted to make a reasoned vote and you voting on Xino, the only people who posted were me and Devotary. You did admit it wasn't much of an elim read, but still. We'll see. Other things to deal with right now.

Specifically, how flip-floppy Vapor's votes have been. It's weird, even for a new player. I would have genuinely rather had a tie between Fifth and Pyro -- puts pressure on the main suspects so far -- and you switching your vote twice this quickly is weird to say the least.

Straw said this about Pyro and it's worth noting that Vapor has done this exact thing twice now.

This is just weird. At the time of your vote, nobody was voting Straw, your reasons for voting Pyro are simply parroting what we've said so far and, heck, what you're doing here is almost exactly why I voted for Pyro in the first place. I'm gonna keep my vote where it is, but there's a lot to unpack here.

Yeah, I wanted a tie between them as well. I was going to comment on their vote switch onto Pyro, but I decided to wait a bit to see if they've given any reasoning. It doesn't seem like they have, so I'd be willing to vote for them. Also, I don't think you've correct about nobody voting for me at that point. Both Fifth and Mystic had a vote on me then, though Mystic claimed that their vote on me was entirely random.

Actually, looking at how high up the vote on Pyro has gotten, I think I'll move from Pyro to Ventyl in hopes of getting some reads from them.

I need to catch up with my notes, and then I'll post some revised reads on people.

I'm starting to think Vapor is genuinely just confused, especially after their last message, but we'll have to see.

At that point, the votes on you had happened a lot earlier and voting on you wasn't the trend. In fact, pretty sure everyone who had posted any sort of reads had put you as village. That's what I meant. I was aware there were votes on you.

What's the vote count now?

Mixed up the V names here. Meant to put a vote on Vapor instead of Ventyl.

To be honest, same, but I'd like some pressure on them at least. In general, I'd rather not lynch any of the entirely new players D1, since I'm not familiar with them and want to give them a cycle to get used to the game.

Good point on reads at that moment.

No idea for vote count. I'd be glad if someone could post one.

Also, side note on PMs: PMs are open, but I probably won't be starting any to discuss game things. I think it's best to keep as much as possible in the thread, that way we can all discuss it. It also means that it isn't entirely lost after your death.

I am finally on and after skim reading the three pages we that we have I will put a vote on matrims dice I do not have any solid reads on anybody so I am voting more based on other players posts, gut reads and because its mandatory.

Straw (2) - Fifth Scholar, MysticLotus
Pyro (3) - Eternum, Matrim's Dice, Straw

Um Mint, you had retracted your vote on Gears. I have changed my vote as well. Here, let me update it:

Pyromancer (4) - Eternum, Matrim, Gears, Vapor

Straw (2) - Fifth Scholar, Mystic Lotus

Lord Silberfarben (2) - The Truthwatcher, TJ

Lahilt (1) - Xinoehp

Eternum (1) - Striker

Fifth Scholar (1) - Lord Silberfarben

Vapor (1) - Straw

Matrim's Dice (1) - Lahilt

This should be right.

[How do you (Shift + Enter) on phone? I do not like those gaps.]

Edited to include Lahilt's vote.

Oh ok

TJ posted them

I will try to be more sure of myself.

Interested in @Lahilt’s reasoning- if you’re voting based on others then why me?

Uh, mainly the fact that some trust reads are voting on Fifth and I don’t have any solid enough reads to really care about who gets lynched.

This isn't really true? I've given elim reads on:

-Frozen Mint

-Fifth Scholar

-Lord_Silberfarben

I'm pretty sure Fifth is the only one of those people who is in favor of random voting?

I'd appreciate if you could give some examples.

I had missed this post. Sorry for not responding earlier. I think I wasn't very clear. I had no problems with your elim reads. It was the village reads that seemed like you just leaned village on players whose style you liked. I just went back and checked the post to realise I'm wrong. Most of the people you agree with fall under the "null" category. I don't know why I clubbed null and village together. Sorry about that.

One thing I will point out that it's kind of strange Straw complained about the current voting trend when he hadn't done anything to try and influence it.

What do you mean by this? I think I've complained about the random voting and the Fifth bandwagon. I've argued quite a bit about the random voting, and I've done my best to encourage people to give reasons for votes. As for the Fifth bandwagon, I've done my best to get Vapor and Pyro to say why they were suspicious of Fifth.

I was referring to how you hadn't yet shared any suspicions on anyone back when you posted this:

Am I the only one who really dislikes the current voting trend? There are five votes at the moment, and only one of them has an actual reason behind it.

You were contributing to the discussion but you hadn't voted or provided reasoning as to why we should or shouldn't lynch a particular player.

edit: nesting fail... sorry about that

Yes, that's why I said it was a given for ME, not you.

Also, to be clear, I don't mean my pm literally said 'village', as quoting role PMs to prove stuff is illegal.

Though I'm not saying it doesn't either.

Actually, going along other player's analysis is NAI for Pyro (from what I've seen so far). I'm not happy because the players are voting for him simply because he added to the train. Elim bandwagoning would be too easy to catch isn't it? Doubt an elim would try that in the first cycle when they can go under the radar by voting for someone with much less number of votes. I'd still look for a better alternative.

Well, I was not here for the first part of the cycle so i had 3 pages to speedread. I was not sure when rollover is in my time so I decided to vote on someone with no votes. I saw that Mint, I think, gave you a slight Elim read. So pretty much a hasty decision.

Like I said I don't have, like any solid suspicions at all so really- at least for me- this particular C1 lynch is an info lynch. Based on Pyro's alignment we can glean info on the later votes on him. That being said, really anyone we lynch would give us similar info so if you find a better alternative based on more AI criteria that would be preferred.

In other news I think it's interesting how quickly the votes on Fifth fell away.

Hmm. Rollover, I believe, is in 3 hours and 40 minutes.
