Sunlight shimmers off the glass pillars and smooth palace floor, and the breeze is fresh through the large windows that look out onto the icy surface of a glacier. "Head Scholar Leftinch, attend and record this." Leftinch strides forward, paper and pens clutched in his arms. He bows awkwardly, then stands aside, pen poised. "In the absence of my dear sister Queen Elsa Steelheart, I, High Imperial Princess Delightful of Newcago shall perform this knighting ceremony. TwiLyghtSansSparkles, step forward and kneel. Now, the name of Newcago, in the name of freedom, friendship and determination against all odds, do you swear to protect this kingdom, our queen, and all denizens against any enemies and all odds?" Leftinch's pen scratches quietly, abnormally loud in the otherwise still room. "Yes M'lady" TwiLyght says softly. "Then I name you Knight and Knitter of Newcago! Rise, go forth, and keep us warm and entertained with your creations! May you be bold and brave, and may the cold never bother you!" Clapping resounded against the icy walls as Newcago cheered their newest member. "By the way" Delightful whispers, "we may have to talk about the yak meat. Where did it come from? Bowing in the proper manner to Delightful and nodding respectfully to Leftinch, "Lefty, if you have something else to get I would gladly take responsibility for escorting the princess," BreathTaker said, handing the pint to Lefty, "This is my newest brew, I made it mostly for a refreshing taste, you see, it's much too light for me. Stealing my thunder—and at my own knighting ceremony! The nerve! She walked a few paces away, savoring the smell of delicately spiced yak meat. So far as she was concerned, Breath Taker would never taste it.
