Every time Fred saw her, DETI grew larger. DETI soon became humongous, as Miracle frequently interacted with Fred in well-meaning attempts to make him feel better.

Unfortunately this meant that there was little room left for pineapples.

So Fred decided to attempt to make a pineapple shrinking ray rather than try to deal with DETI.

[Faerie Braids she/her]

Miracle helped make the pineapple-shrinking ray using her Mysterious Magical Powers (TM), but accidently ended up enlarging all pineapples instead.

Fortunately, DETI’s massive size gave them an equally massive appetite, and they ate all of the pineapples.

He was the cousin of the slightly more famous Spongebob.

Robert the Sponge was Fred's mortal enemy.

DETI’s hunger was never satisfied, so they were constantly trying to eat Robert’s pineapple temple. Poor Fred was blamed for this and his guilt over it only made DETI stronger.

This caused them to swell up with inflammation, making them even bigger.

One day DETI put The Pineapple on a giant pizza that Miracle had baked, causing a worldwide conflict over the morality of this behaviour. This only increased Fred's guilt.

Bill, Fred’s friend hired him a therapist.

The therapist had to call in backup of more therapists to deal with Fred's guilt. Slowly DETI grew smaller, but then...

Fred realised that by letting go of his guilt, he was slowly killing DETI. Suddenly, Fred felt more guilty than he could ever have imagined. 

And DETI grew bigger than Fred could ever have imagined. 

This caused Fred to feel better about himself, causing DETI to shrink, causing Fred to feel guilty, and so on, and so forth...
