"Great! Now, do you know how to get out of the middle of somewhere? We need to get to the Ghanderflaffle empire."

Rue looks around. “Umm…I can open another portal, but I was trying to get to Subversion and this is where it took us. Her lair must block portals somehow.”

[NameIess]

"Yeah. Otherwise we would've found her a long time ago."

[Edema Rue she/her]

“Then why…WHY THE LIGHT HAVE WE STILL BEEN MAKING PORTALS?!?!?!”

[NameIess]

"It'll work eventually, we just have to keep trying it over and over again until it does!"

This was, of course, what Subversion wanted them to think

[Szeth Pancakes he/they]

"Meanwhile, Hoid," said Szeth, observing and twirling a breadstick in his fingers.

[Edema Rue she/her]

“NO!” All other creatures present shouted. They were very focused on killing Subversion. Instead of caring about Hoid, they made a portal to Ghanderflaffle Empire. This proved to be a huge mistake. 

[NameIess]

As it turned out, the Ghanderflaffle Empire was currently in the middle of a star.

[Szeth Pancakes he/they]

A jet of high-pressure plasma shot out from the portal. Szeth held it back with his powers and gave the mortals a chance to flee.

Luckily, none of us were mortals, so we didn’t flee.

Except for Mythos' puppy named ACI II. He ran away.

Mythos blinked again, "I... I'm fairly certain I have memory loss."

“Don’t worry about it!” Rue told him. “It’s normal. Mostly. In unusual situations. It’ll probably come back. In the meantime, who wants to kill Subversion?”

"Memory loss if the least of our problems, considering the fact that we all are probably going to die of radiation poisoning from that portal to the sun." Everyone pointed out.

Bookwyrm closed the portal.

"Does that help?"

Everyone shrugged. "Pretty sure we were exposed long enough to develop cancer within the next day or so."

Bookwyrm narrated any radiation effects away from everyone in the vicinity.

"Narration is the most powerful form of magic I've ever wielded," he said. "Normally I wouldn't take such hasty action, but considering that the plot (non-personified) requires us to be alive, I'll do it."

"Personally, I would have liked to see what radiation would do to all of us, since Unintelligible is an Ookla who survived the end of Ookla season, you guys are Narrators, and I'm a piece of a Sequence. It would have been a cool experiment, don't you think?"

Bookwyrm turned to the group. "So we know that Subversion is in a base where we can't teleport. Is there any way to circumvent that? How close can we teleport to the base, if we can't go inside it?"
