The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

Araok got off of Nin's apprentice and offered him some tea.

[NameIess]

Nin's apprentice declined quite rudely, stating a need to continue his quest.

[That1Cellist he/him]

This made the elephant sad. (Not angry, as he was very polite) he then requested to join Nin's apprentice on his quest.

[NameIess]

Nin's apprentice considered this request.

[That1Cellist he/him]

He then asked Nin his opinion on it.

[NameIess]

Nin refused to give guidance, stating that he wished for his apprentice to gain wisdom, which meant he must make his own decisions.

Nin's apprentice asked the elephant what support the elephant could provide.

 

[NameIess]

The elephant pulled out a contract. "Sign this, and you'll gain immense power."

[That1Cellist he/him]

Nin read the contract to make sure he wanted to agree to it. He was somewhat suspicious of contracts, since his soul had been split into so many pieces because of them, and Nin had needed to retrieve the pieces.

[The Wandering Wizard he/him]

He still signed it.

[That1Cellist he/him]

He did this because he wanted to be like Nin, who already had immense power.

[NameIess]

Unfortunately, he’d missed some fine print.

Like all good demon contracts it was super tiny so more stipulations and conditions could be put in.

[That1Cellist he/him]

The Elephant himself was not a demon, but one had written that fine print without his knowledge.

[NameIess]

And then told him about it and forced him to either get someone to sign it or watch his entire family die.

[That1Cellist he/him]

The elephant, then, was very grateful Nin's apprentice had signed the contract. He was also excited to help Nin's apprentice on his quest.

[NameIess]

Unfortunately, the contract stipulated that Nin's apprentice had to kill the elephant's family or be killed himself

He informed the elephant of this, and told him of his quest to get a R.C.M.P. and a hamburger. He also asked what benefits he had obtained from this contract

The elephant had no idea, as he hadn't read the contract.

[That1Cellist he/him]

Nin's apprentice went to reread the contract in order to see for himself.

[NameIess]

The elephant shrugged and handed him the contract.

[The Wandering Wizard he/him]

It had been replaced, but neither of them knew it.

[That1Cellist he/him]

Because the replacement was identical to the original in every way.

[NameIess]

Excepting the fact that it was angry.

[That1Cellist he/him]

But Nin's apprentice didn't care about that. He discovered that the contract gave him a great power to help him on his quest, and that power was...
