Doomslug coughed at the onslaught of sweet Kool-Aid, before turning to Thaidakar. He patted his shoulder.

"Old friend," Doomslug said with a smile, "I would like that very much."

Doomslug used the power of the story to give himself all the materials he needed to begin building. With the materials in place, he began construction on the town hall, a geometric, strange looking building that served as the inspiration for the rest of Kalithor.

Thaidakar smiled as he helped build Kalithor. Thaidakar imagined and he built. oh he built with EMOTION. the terraces told of magnificence, the streets of vengeance, the buildings of peace. Thaidakar built a statue, a statue of an old friend, one who was dead, one who was forgotten, one who was Bing Bong. (this has to be random though.)

Doomslug worked side by side with his old friend, and crafted a beautiful fountain in the shape of an impostor from among us outside the town hall. He built a neighborhood, which sparkled in the light of the sun, their plants green and lush.

He took a deep breath, and nodded. Yes, this town was coming along nicely.

Thaidakar moved to an outer wall that would keep out invaders, he put beautiful designs that told a story, the story of TLT. He began on a neighborhood next to the wall aswell. Thaidakar smiled as he saw the work his old friend was making, it was nice. Thaidakar wondered who else would join their town.

whats TLT

Doomslug decorated the outer wall with stylized vines, accenting the story with greens and reds and blues and whites. He let the plants flourish, and let them spread through town, creating a beautiful myriad of man-made hues and sharp shapes, with the soft, lush, natural tones in the smooth, stylized shape of the plants.

Doomslug put out a call, to join the town of Kalithor.

TLT is The Longest Thread what we are in.

Thaidakar added a large spire in the middle of the town that reached to the sky, as if to admire the thing that it pointed towards. Thaidakar built a gate in the wall of the city with metallic vines and flowers on it.

Doomslug flourished the gate with natural flowers, some marewills and some daisies.

He added a vine to the spire, and it curled around, spiraling to the top. He made the spire glow a gentle blue at night, to stand out slightly.

He turned to Thaidakar.

"I think it's done."

"So do I," Thaidakar pulled a button out of his pocket and pressed it, suddenly fireworks burst out from hidden sockets in the walls. Large bursts of color appeared in the sky. Thaidakar smiled as he sat down on a bench near a park he had made.

Posted

Doomslug chuckled. "Always the flair, with you." He sat down next to Thaidakar, and watched the fireworks light up the town of Kalithor. It would survive for years, and be a symbol of peace, a symbol of unity with nature, for eons.

The spire reflected the fireworks as it glowed a deep blue.

It was beautiful.

Thaidakar grinned, "as always." Thaidakar then let the only sounds be of animals and insects along with the fireworks.

The fireworks covered the town in light making it glow in several colors. the beauty of it reflected in Thaidakar's mind as he thought of what this town would be in the future.

It would be the home of people like him and Doomslug. people with mistakes willing to take a second chance, and live better lives.

War was like a disease, hopefully though the walls were strong enough to keep it out.

Thaidakar smiled as a particularly large firework went off. he realized something, he turned to Doomslug, "slug, how long were we shards? was that thousands of years or five minutes?"

Posted

Doomslug started, thinking back to the dark times they had witnessed.

"Uhh..." He fumbled for words, "It seemed like five minutes, but it was probably thousands of years. Ascendancy does that."

Posted

As a large firework exploded Thaidakar shook his head as he thought of the implications of that, "that would mean it would all have changed, everything would have moved on and everyone would have either forgotten us or have died from our war, ya know what, lets not think about it, want some pizza? apparently Papa Johns delivers to TLT."

Posted

"So does Dominos. Dominos is better."

Doomslug stood, and began walking down the street. He wanted to go up on the wall. Using the power of the story, he made the song Dragon by Built By Titan start playing throughout the town. He got up to the wall, and as the song swelled, so did his heart.

He and Thaidakar had crafted this town. They had made mistakes, but they had a second chance. They would do good, in the hopes that others would too.

This city was... different. You see, peace is boring and Narrator Firerust's eyes began to glaze over at Doomslug and Thaidakar's elegant, beautiful imagery because of his short attention span. It was too nice, too eloquently written. (But really, though, good writing, guys.) This was never what the Longest Thread was meant to be, he thought. Peace meant no conflict, and no conflict meant no story. They were all Narrators in a cosmic game of eternal virtual storytelling, so what was a little more chaos when the peace went on too long? And so, another city sprung up near Kalithor. A chaotic city filled with dark alleys and suspicious cookies. This city of Mortals was named Renariloki.

Posted

Doomslugs attention landed on Renariloki (combo of Renarin and Loki?) and anger sparked to life within himself. How dare Firerust mock the great city that Doomslug and Thaidakar made? How dare he taint the beautiful plains around Kalithor? How Dare He?

Posted

Doomslug attempted to calm the growing anger of the people of Kalithor. The people of Renarilokia didn't mean any harm, they just happened to build a city in an interesting spot. Peace was still an option. Doomslug tried to convince the people of this.
