"Rose?" Star asked. She took her daughter's little chin. She had grey eyes. Like her father used to. She hung her head, weeping.

Star smiled through her tears. "Yes," she said. "Yes, yes." She hugged her little boy.

Granite hugged her back. “Mommy, you’re back!”

”Where is Daddy?” Rose asked.

"Daddy is..." Star held back her sobs. "Daddy is dead, sweetheart. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."
