Ene, upvotes for those great references.

Gradually Watermelon was now free! “I like shapes,” he said, and went to go search for some. But this was irrelevant.

So now instead of liking shapes he said, “I like man cubits.”

Apollyon and his gang cheered Gradually Watermelon but we're confused. They hoped they didn't qualify as man cubits. Butt put a protective bubble of Fartomancy around the gang.

Gradually Watermelon didn’t know why Apollyon and his gang were so afraid, so he decided to give them a compliment, to cheer them up.

”I’m in love with your system!” he yelled, hoping they could hear him.

Suddenly, a storm appeared around the gang. It caused everybody to feel really bad about not calling their mothers. You could say it was "Conscience pressing rain."

Edit: Is it bad that I didn't figure out the gradually watermelon reference until re-listening just now? I got Rebecca's reference at the top though.

Everyone scrambled to find a spanreed. Alas they got lost in the storm. Gradually Watermelon was curious. "What are mother's?" Said Gradually.

“They’re-“ started Rebecca, but then saw something behind Gradually and screamed. Gradually turned around, and saw what it was, then replied, “Do not worry about the demon. Continue.”

*Also wonders what I have referenced. Perhaps a Dr. Suess book that she has read over and over and over again to her toddler. Sorry wasn't even a cool reference.*

The gang couldn't get the demon out of their line of sight and worries.

It made me think of the scene in Disney’s Peter Pan where all the lost boys are asking about mothers. Maybe you subconsciously referenced that. Even though that’s not what we were referencing.

Alas, Whatthe had inadvertently changed to present tense so now that is our current tense.

Butt weeps.

Mainly because it didn't exist outside of Butt's mind. Thus, it was terrible at its job.

However, this is unrelevant for the following five reasons:

IT was about to start juggling, and yet also become a weird brain thing that obsessively controls everyone.

Butt is confused. He doesn't understand what irrelevance is even though it has been a rather relevant part of his life.
