She actually is invisible, having been left with little time to plan after Sanguine broke through the first layer of her deception so quickly. As the tendrils of his arm sweep sideways, they curl up and away from a specific area as if some force is pushing them back.

My guess was she was in the Cognitive Realm or something like that. Realmatic Theory is one thing I have decided counters or interferes with a Flaw’s rift abilities. Sanguine binds the lashes together into a long jagged blade and stabs towards the spot.

Did the Withergeists succeed in stealing Plotblades from the temple/High Priest of Plot? That was the Witherlord's original goal in attacking them, to claim a Plotblade to give the Guardians of Plot. As soon as Lyric saw the temple's ruins, he knew what forces had struck it. Listening closely, he could hear the manyfold tune of destruction left in the wake of darkness. Memories flashed through his mind, of destruction, of terror, of death. The song of the withergeists in the night. Lyric's eyes passed over the man among the ruins, but saw him not. His mind was elsewhere, in times long distant. Screams in the night. Dark shapes clawing at crystalline light. Black wounds rotting, men dead while alive, doomed to join the throng of darkness. The song, that terrible tune, proclaiming terror, fear, death. And another song, rising to meet it. The song of- Lyric's mind recoiled. His legs failed him and he fell to the ground with a cry of terror. His head struck a rock as he fell, and all went black. Rebus nodded. "I shall do what I can." Then he split in two, assembling a new copy of him from transient dream matter. The real him went back the way the had come, and returned to reality.
