Iromem, who the unholy demon known as autocorrect keeps storming mistaking as Iron Man, is very disconcerted and still in quite a bit of mental pain if not physical, approaches the survivors. “Thank Plot, someone’s survived. What happened?” He is unaware of the Witherlord’s rise and has only heard of withergeists in the epic poetry of the ancients. All he knows is his entire world has been destroyed in a heartbeat, and something has rescued him, but even that is hazy. Slipping from his grasp. @TwinStorm@NameIess
——

Night laughs softly, finding herself invigorated at Sanguine’s form running in circles, clearly enraged while Egis’ illusion keeps him occupied. The mind, it seems, is a better prison than a black hole. Her starhawk is bringing Inkwell to keep an eye on the situation, as he seems quite bored.
——

Sanguine can’t stand it. He can’t so much as look at Egis without the Author stepping in, he can’t seem to leave this place, and he can’t even break through Egis’ Narration, exhausted as he is. He lashes out indiscriminately, cutting rift after rift that leads nowhere, incapable of leaving this *screeching* cave- what was that?

——

Inkwell has found himself in the midst of a massive empty city. It is pale grey and featureless wherever he looks, except the tips of some buildings which sparkle silver in the sunlight, and the reflections of the sun off of shimmering glass skyscrapers. The starhawk in his shoulder screeches over the being’s curse and disappears in a shower of stardust. Before him, some gibbering entity appearing to be formed entirely of blood runs in circles, clutching its head with one hand and clawing familiar looking rifts that lead straight back to themselves with the other, tendrils appearing on his skin and lashing out at the air before being absorbed back into his body in his maddened fury. Egis leans against a nondescript building nearby, amused. “Mmm… this is the friend 9/10 was talking about?” Inkwell asks her.

Egis seems perfectly content to let Sanguine keep cutting rifts to nowhere.

-

She turns to face Inkwell. “Don’t worry,” she says, “he’s usually much more intimidating. This is just a particularly entertaining method of damage control.”

Cep looks up, looking rather confused and out-of-place. Suddenly his eyes focus as a voice speaks from behind them.

"Well, brother, look at that. They did find their way after all. It only took a bit." The violet of her Mindscape darkens slightly. "What do you know."

"Creatures of the void." Murmured Lyric. "I have seen the like before." He looked at Iromem suspiciously. "How was it you survived?"

Iromem stares blankly. His vision isn’t quite focused on Lyric. “I… can’t remember. Maybe I died. Maybe I almost died. Then suddenly… this force, it healed my wounds. He fumbled in the pocket of his robes, a pocket he knew was empty. His fingers found a small token of dark iron, like a coin, framing an octagon of cloudy green glass. He stares at it, transfixed, then suddenly fumbles it, spinning on the ground to lay at the other’s feet.

Inkwell shrugs. “Okay.”
——

Sanguine heard it. A minion of the astral one, calling out in triumph. He focused on that sound, that sensation, more real than the others, pinned down like a body suffocating under layers and layers and layers of warm cloth. He did the intuitive thing and ripped through the cloth. Suddenly, he found himself blinded by the city. The insolent one leaned against the building that had rejected him, and a new person, a boy, really, stood nearby, smelling of prismite. “Heh. Narration, you called it?” Sanguine licked his lips. “I’ll have your blood too, boy.”

Egis looks up in surprise. “Finally figured it out, dear? Well, good on you. I suppose I’ll let you reap your reward. Don’t make too big of a fuss.” She pats Inkwell on the shoulder. “Good luck with this one. Oh, and also-” she projects a hologram recording of Sanguine running about blindly into the sky purely to annoy him.

Aeryn giggles, and it sounds slightly manic. "Well, I was and I wasn't. But hello there, friend of my brother. Welcome to my mind." A dark crack, like lightning, splits the sky of the Mindscape.

Inkwell panics as Sanguine turns on him, hands forming blades, and draws Shadowlight. An idea strikes him, and he swings the black nib at the killer flaw. The form disappears immediately, the author’s creation of that body erased for the moment. The ordered darkness core is mostly depleted.

erryin pulled cep close and glared at the sky. “I know a lot, you’re gonna have to be more specific.” They said, voice cold. “I know that im not gonna let you hurt him anymore.

Aeryn giggles again, and more cracks sear through the Mindscape. "Oh? Well, that's a shame. I haven't finished catching up with him yet." She extends a hand and a small knife appears in it, the blade darkly violet.

Esplosives do not discriminate, I guess.

“We can defend you. Currently rebyl is getting us out of here.”

Dude I never noticed how ridiculously many guest accounts are just hanging out and staring at this thread in particular 24:7

we are outnumbered by anonymous eyes and for some reason I find it kind of creepy

The Author named Shatter feels pinpricks on his back as EdgySwordName brings attention to those unnamed ghosts watching the Thread.

The Author named EdgySwordName feels pinpricks on his back as the fact that he has picked a terrible silly username and will have to live with it forever catches up with him. Oh well.
He pointedly ignores the ghosts and waits for Heir, Twin, or NameIess to respond. Uncomfortably.

Shatter snickers and comments, "You know, you CAN change your username. I was once known as TheShatteredCosmere, but I found it too unwieldy and shortened it to Shatter."

That’s true

It’s weird that almost all the guests look at the community forums and not the theory forums

Disagree. Dark green or pale pink.

Inkwell stares at the place where Sanguine had just stood. “I was not expecting that to work to well.” 9/10mmHB#2 popped out of a rift nearby. “Ah! Thanks for handling that for the present moment! Just be warned, that likely won’t work as well next time!” Inkwell stared. “You’re obnoxious. Deal with your problems on your own next time.” 9/10 bowed. “Will do, good sir. I think that only worked because the Author was sick of writing Sanguine’s POV anyway.” Then he was gone. “I still hate that guy,” Inkwell told Egis.

She seems somewhat taken aback by Sanguine’s sudden disappearance. ”Then why do you put up with him?” She frowns as she looks out over Heaven.

“I would punch him in the face, but it’s my face.”, Inkwell responds automatically. Then he stops and considers the question. “Um, I don’t know. As far as I know, he’s quite harmless right now. You’re obnoxious too. In an okay way.”
