NameIess Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Without the tears that continued their metamorphasis, some worlds began to stagnate. Worse, others continued to grow, becoming twisted and strange.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 While our band of survivors knew what was going on, they refused to do anything. All of them, save one...
NameIess Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 His name was Kurucu, and he was the first of the Tearsmiths.
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 By studying the tears, he was able to learn a great magic: Tearsmithing. He understood the magical properties of the tears and could use them to shape reality to his will. While his powers were limited due to the gluttony of Zyria, Kurucu continued to hone his unprecedented talent, preparing to fight against the evil that was slowly driving the end of the universe.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Finally, it was time. He needed to stop Zyria.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Only... he didn't know where Zyria was.
NameIess Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 He knew the beast was above him, of course. But he didn't have the sight to see which way was up.
That1Cellist he/him Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) Up became down, which was the biggest problem here. Edited October 25, 2022 by That1Cellist
Bird Furious she/her/un/important Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The kumquats were SMASHED.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 This was very sad, as the kumquats served as a sort of memory-storage device for Kurucu.
NameIess Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 This insanity also allowed him to see Zyria for the first time.
EmulatonStromenkiin he/him Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 It also allowed him to see the Quarkbeast, if the Quarkbeast was there.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The Quarkbeast, was not there, and she saw truely, what monsters her people were.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 This caused more tears, which Zyria ate up happily. Zyria only grew stronger and stronger. Something had to be done!
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The universe demanded that someone went on a quest, before it was made extinct.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 It was urgent. more urgent, in fact, than anything in the history of TLT 2 had ever been.
NameIess Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 And so Kurucu drew on the power of all the tears left in the universe, launching himself towards that dark beast.
EmulatonStromenkiin he/him Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 He was diverted by the beast's powers.
NameIess Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 But he persisted, launching himself again and again until he finally pierced the confines of his universe and came face-to-face with Zyria the dark dragon.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 As Zyria shifted into view, Kurucu drew his sword.
NameIess Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) He thrust it towards the dragon's heart, striving to kill the beast in one blow. Alas, the beast's armor proved too strong. Kurucu's blade snapped in two. Edited October 27, 2022 by Nameless
Bird Furious she/her/un/important Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 But then a bird lodged itself somehow in the dragon’s throat and squeaked desperately.
NameIess Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 It only distracted Zyria for a moment before he dissolved the bird to ash, but a moment was all Kurucu needed to lunge, grabbing the dragon's scales with his bare hands and begin ripping them off.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Kurucu spent a lot of time deadlifting at the gym.
