Everyone who wants to work on this, I think that we need to do two things, the first is figure out character creation. the second is choose reps from the guilds for the mediator guild.

Ok, cool. I have one request, could we make the types of investiture that you use more like a class system? Like dnd, instead of wizard, rogue, fighter etc. there would be misting, ferring elantrian etc.

is there a good system that has been proposed/created for combat specifically? (i'm unsure, because I know there are other topics about them, we really need to compile everything together.) I know there was discussion about Stats/HP/items etc.

Anyway, character creation. I think we can keep that fairly open, Where anyone can try and make a balanced character that isn't too OP. and then it has to be approved by the mediator guild (i think the House was suggested?) (whoever suggested that I agree)

There are two methods for combat that have been edited into the OP.

Im still trying to get an alternative free form style, but no one seems to be supporting me in that.  

As for character creation, I like that, but there needs to be a bit more done, I think.

Is that too narrow? I’m not totally opposed, just want to kno your reasoning.

Rules for combat thread. We might already be there, I’m not totally sure.

@Kidpen Not necessarily that narrow, but just that you are able to choose what you can be instead of having to role for it.

I saw someone propose a while back that you would have to role for powers, and I didn't like that.

Also, I feel that for a lot of these, they are less like a character trait and more of a class. They define the way you RP, the way you fight, and everything that a class does, in DND.

@ElephantEarwax probably not. At least without some major weaknesses or short comings.

I haven't kept an eye on the intro threads recently but it does become a problem sometimes when someones introduction to the forum is just 10 different people shouting incomprehensible things about whether or not you should take a cookie. Can be a bit off putting for newcomers.

Alright character creation, so the way I see it we need very few things:

1. Name

2. Class/magic

3. History

Everyone's stats start out the same, only affected by magic. and we could maybe add in species if we really wanted. Personality is just what people post and the history. Some guidelines for people:

Make sure your character is not too OP. Limit to 1-2 magic systems.

Probably no Hemalurgy, but maybe under lots of restrictions and no other powers. Any thoughts that way?
