Actually, if we're adhering to known canon, Reynard should be Gillitie.

Yes, I read the comics.

Hm. I'd vote for Araris, but I'm really not convinced that they're actually elim, or at least not yet.

I'll wait for now, in case something else happens. I intend to vote in the next 2 hours or so.

I have a couple ideas of potential secrets.

Maybe we can become ghosts?

Psychopomps? I want to be one :P

Might there be a serial killer ghost girl?

Ooh, Psychopomps. They're cool, though we don't really know much about them.

Maybe they're a thing? Idk, PAFO I guess.

Ghosts are maybe a possibility when someone dies. Maybe there's a chance you turn into a ghost and you turn neutral, with maybe a survival wincon, or something silly :P .

..Serial killer ghost girl? Jeanne, you mean? She's dead at this point in the timeline, right? Eh, idk. Maybe a thing, though falling into the Annan chasm, surviving and then facing Jeanne is unlikely. This game is gonna prove to be rather interesting.

only one way to find out

I think Jeanne is ghost-form, just recently, so technically there could be a Jeanne encounter. Or a Jeanne secret role? Who knows?

Stick, I'm not sure about Araris. That sounds like his typical behavior, and not very alignment indicative. It is always more likely to kill a villager than an elim on D1 lynch, but it almost always gives us information that helps the game move on.

As for other lynch candidates, we could kill the medium that isn't chosen. That's a terribly horrible way to decide who to lynch, because it would either be Flash or Doc. Both of them are sufficiently suspicious simply by running for medium. Wait... @A Joe in the Bush, does an elim's alignment change when becoming medium, and does a villager's alignment change? That would either clear or suspicionize our medium candidates.

Ooh, wait, is an elim Medium told the wincon of an actual medium?

I consider whatever HH, Straw, Majestic, and chaos have posted NAI.

You can trust me when I say I'm good ;)

Y'all be furiously speculating and calculating while I'm here still figuring out how my role works ^_^

That's not uncommon. :P

I'm actually going to vote for Noah (Eternum) (retracting my vote for Rendren (cloud) if I need to), because he's been way too interested in the Medium role and especially what happens if an Elim gets it (like he is reconsidering whether he wants it, knowing an Elim would keep their win con). I know you're new to the games here (is this your second game, or third?), so I can't exactly compare your play to previous games, but something in your posts is sounding like someone already trying to make people suspect others and cause chaos.

well, I've asked joe whether the elims here have the 'court' roles, or the 'forest' ones. Waiting for a reply

I asked in a PM and I believe they can have a role from either court or forest.

I want to look over the thread once more before I vote. I never have enough time in one go so I have been occasionally coming on and checking.

I don't know why Eternum would roleclaim. He could just be doing it because it's not common. If he's not actually ysenrin then he's drawing attention away like some noted in a post a while ago (can't remember who).

HH doesn't seem to villagery to me atm. It's those questions he's asking.

Araris' vote seemed too aggressive to me to be elim.

Actually, instead of doc I shall move my vote to flash for now as well.

i think claiming ysengrin would be too risky a move for an elim and like, if I were an elim, I'd prefer to keep the medium-elim queries in the elim doc. But yeah we probably shouldnt like hard clear eternum for it so yeah

anyone know what a tie lynch results in?

Posted (edited)

Actually, Jon, I asked because if we need confirmation on a Medium's neutrality, we can ask their wincon in PMs if an Elim Medium doesn't get to know the actual wincon.

EDIT: Tie lynch was said to be random choice, probably coinflip or smth.

Also, second game. :P

Considering "proving" Ysengrin would just be killing someone they said, it'd be a super easy role to fake, though of course the real Ysengrin would either speak up or just kill the pretender.  Yeah, I didn't think through that last part…

I will likely change my vote, but I want to give it a bit of thought first.

That does make sense.  It still makes me very wary, but I'll remove my vote from you for now, Noah (Eternum).  I think I realized the mistake in my logic now, and it probably would be suicide for anyone to fake claim Ysengrin.

I haven't seen a vote tally in a while, so here's one that I think is accurate:

Medium:
Doc: PK, Eternum, Straw, Sif, Stick, Flash, Dalinar
Flash: Flash, Araris, Sif

Lynch:
PK: Araris, Doc
Joe: Straw, HH
Straw: Araris
Doc: PK
Cloud: Jon
Araris: Stick
Eternum: Jon

Oh, and since this is a vote, I saw when I was doing the vote tally that I hadn't actually vote for Koru (Doc) as Medium.  I meant to in that early post, but I was on mobile and tried using "lightblue" as the color code, and it just didn't do anything.

Updating the vote tally and including counts:

Medium:
Doc (6): PK, Eternum, Straw, Sif, Stick, Flash, Dalinar, Jon
Flash (2): Flash, Araris, Sif

Lynch:
PK (1): Araris, Doc
Joe (0): Straw, HH
Straw (1): Araris
Doc (1): PK
Cloud (0): Jon
Araris (1): Stick
Eternum (1): Jon

I like how you included Joe in the lynch vote tally xD

Yeah, that vote tally seems about right.

Yup.  Only 4 players with an active vote on them, but only 1 each.  Not good to see.

Okay. So I don't see particular benefits to have Doc or Flash as medium, but Doc provides more opportunities (or at least provided more benefits) than Flash does, and Flash isn't exactly on my village-read list. Of course, my village-read list is very small, Majestic being the only one on it. Why, you may ask? This is his first game, he hasn't done anything that screams elim, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt anyways.

As for the lynch, I don't think I'll side with Doc or PK, leaving Straw or Araris as the other options. Straw hasn't been doing much. I suppose I'll vote that. It's better than having a split lynch. However, it would be even better to see @Straw and @Araris Valerian contributing more!

Can I just say, btw, that it would have been tougher but really cool if there was a way to have these threads only viewable by each group?  I.E., the Forest players couldn't see the Court thread, or vice-versa.

I know it's not really feasible and probably not worth it, but it would have been awesome.

Hm yeah XD you'd have to think more than twice about taking the test 'cause you don't really know how well either of the factions are doing in the other thread :-P

This idea here. Very smart eternum. This could allow us to scan the medium in a way.
