1) I don't mess with my hair, like, at all.

2) Super glue is a lethal weapon. Kids at home, don't play with superglue! Speaking from experience here, I once almost lost a finger DIED playing with super glue

3) How... interesting. Dreams are strange beasts indeed.

Fun fact:  superglue was originally invented as a surgical adhesive.

Other news: I've finally seen Zootopia and I've gone to Assassin's Creed.

Is assassins creed any good? (Both movie and game)

Uhh. That's a complex question.

The film wasn't bad. But I don't think it would be memorable if I wasn't such a fan of the game.

Games... now that's another question altogether. I have only played first five main games (Assassin's Creed, AC:II, AC:Brotherhood, AC:Revelations, AC:III). Black Flag is waiting for me to get a decent PC.
Some of those games are my favorites.
(description of each game)

Spoiler

So I liked the first game. It's different from its successors. I've heard complaints it gets repetitive and all but I liked the philosophy conflict very much (I'm sad it did not continue to be as pronounced in the next games). There's also this thing that you actually felt like a part of Brotherhood of Assassins; you got this person to kill and you went to get information, you could visit the place, plan your approach and escape plan - one of the most enjoyable moments was when I planed my escape route carefully and then quietly got rid of all the archers - I had the clear rooftops all the way to the hideout. I swept in for the kill and disappeared before anyone could attack me.

Character: Altaïr. Setting: Third Crusade (1191), Holy Land (cities: Masyaf, Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus, Arsuf) - but don't get excited, this is before they started recreating sites so no sightseeing.

If you want to get into the series, I recommend playing through the first game. It's not as polished and memorable as the next but it's a starting point nontheless.

Then the second one... it's awesome. One thing I missed was the planning thing and much less emphasis on the philosophy/morality but it's a much better game all things considered. I could talk your ears off about it.
Character: Ezio. Setting: Renessaince Italy. Florence, Venice, Monteriggioni, Forli, San Gimignano... You can totally go on sightseeing tours - I was able to recognize Santa Maria del Fiore on the photograph only having played the game.
It's beggining of Renessaince Trilogy. Important characters I thought I'd mention: Leonardo da Vinci, Borgias, Machiavelli, Caterina Sforza, Lorenzo de' Medici, Pazzis, Pope Alexander VI... and more I probably forgot.

AC:Brotherhood is direct sequel and picks up after II. I usually lump these two together as they tell one story.
Character: Ezio. Setting Renessaince Rome. Sightseeing amped up - I was on a trip in Rome with my friend who also played AC and we were constantly going "hey, here you'd climb to the roof" or "you could do Leap of Faith off of this" all the time.

AC: Revelations... It's decent but... could be better. If you want some closure for Altaïr's story and Ezio's story you can play that.
Character: Ezio. Setting: Renessaince Stambul/Konstantinopole.

AC: III... meh. The beginning was good but the rest is not. It doesn't feel like AC game - you can barely parkour since there's not much you can freerun on. No historic buildings or sites to admire - on the other hand, you get to interact in a lot of important events in American history; I don't know how you see it, as a bad or good thing. For example, you get to dump some tea into Boston Bay.
Setting: American Revolution. You get to meet a lot of historic characters but you probably know better than me :P
It's the start of American Trilogy: III, Black Flag, Rogue.

For me, a lot of appeal of AC is being able to climb and freerun on historic buildings, interacting with history and historic characters (be warned though, the premise of the setting is the conflict between two ancient compiracies so all that "Napoleon was an Illuminati" and so on is very much present and exploited) and (sometimes) killing them.
It's not a stealth game - you can't even crouch until, like, seventh installment in the series? - it's more of "blend in the crowd" than "sneak".

Fun thing is how history is adapted to fit into ancient conflict between followers of "free will" philosophy and "control people for their own good" philosphy. A lot of historic events are "in fact" provoked by one of the sides, so it's a lot like reading a conspiracy theory. Only that's it's good and is consistent.

P.S. Oh, and II and Brotherhood have utterly amazing soundtracks.
P.S.S. Man, now I want to play them again. Sigh.
P.S.S.S. If you get around to playing II and Brotherhood, I recommend switching audio to Italian and playing with subtitles on. I've seen advice that you should turn the mini-map off but I think it's something you should do on replay.
I plan to replay without any HUD whatsoever.
P.S.S.S.S as a PC player I recommend using gamepad. Or playing on console. I played on keyboard + mouse but I've also played a chunk of Brotherhood on console and it's better.

Yeah, I've seen it before. That Flat Earth Society group I'm in is constantly giving me so much cancer...

You should spam them with pictures of objects with horizontal lines—barriers, highway lines, bookshelves—and vague phrases like THIS MEANS SOMETHING or COINCIDENCE???????????? and see how many likes you get.

I tried to get them to agree that the Flat Earth is spinning cause Foucalt's Pendulum is working and some of my friends (who are also there, just watching) started asking my close friends whether I really believe all that crem...

Anyway, here's another gem - I'm not sure whether it was posted unironically or not:

Funnily enough, I've been thinking lately that I'd love to replay some of those games. Only ever played the original, II and Black Flag... though my lack of any gaming platform hampers my ability in that area these days. :P

That film though... yeesh.

I went in expecting it to be bad; I was mostly expecting it to be snark bait. I was not expecting it to be so

boring. Even the action sequances were mind-numbingly dull.

Like a conspiracy theorist among conspiracy theorists.

But see, that's an actual ironic meme that they have twisted to make it look like propaganda. That upsets me jus' a little.

Anyone else watched any of A Series of Unfortunate Events?

No, is it any good? I admit I (mostly) liked the movie version that came out around the same time as Napoleon Dynamite, but I was hoping the show would be better.

Okay, so I think the show is better. But the thing is, they're so vastly different it's hard to compare the two.

The movie was made to be grim and grey. The TV show is quirky and weird. Really weird. Like, they made an effort to make it as surreal as possible. You'll have to watch it to see what I mean.

Yes YEs YES!!! I love it. I was a huge fan of the books, and this exceeded my expectations.

Also, did anyone else catch in episode 2, when Count Olaf said "I'm just having my morning tea, though I can't seem to find the sugar bowl???" I literally squealed when I heard that.

Oh, huh. This might be of interest to people.

If any of you decide to take advantage of this service... well, you're options are currently limited. But the Rebirth Deluxe One-shot was pretty good, and I've heard very good things about the current Superman run.

(I'm reading Green Arrow, but that book is... weird. I mean, I buy it twice a month, so I guess that should nominally count as a recommendation, but... really uneven book. Unless you really want to check out Green Arrow, I'd recommend the other two.)

Someone was telling me about this guy who walks his camel around all the time (I've never seen said camel) and apparently he looks like his camel. Animals changing appearances of their owner conspiracy confirmed.

Guys I have a concept.

Im doing a character driven story. I want to start a blog/thing where I basically write fanfic for the characters ie no plain plot just them living normal life and messing around and just seeing how they react to each other. Would you guys be interested in reading /giving feedback? I'll make a proper post in creators corner once I've done my first piece, it's all conceptual right now.

i find it a deliiiiightful idea but it will greatly depend on the writing for something as character driven as this (meaning no offence, your delightfulness)

The only thing i can say off the bat is that it sounds suuuuuper boring to me , not from a reader's perspective but from a writer's . personally i don't think that i would be able to keep it up for more than two days, coming up with mundain yet interest things for my  characters to be doing  , but if you feel up to the task, by all  means do it . it also seems like a great writing excersize.

nay way good luck and DFTBA
