Long Game 19: Twinborn City

I agree with Arraenae and Araris on this one. The lack of an eliminator kill seems to point to either an inactive eliminator or some hidden neutral role. Since the GM's are being so trollish about the "hidden" role, I think I'm gonna go with the assumption that there's 1 more Spiked for now.

So, with that in mind, Danosaur. He's been the only inactive this entire game. He was just online about 2 hours ago, but I don't think he was ever on during the time where he would've needed to send in a kill. Not really sure about that though.

@Elodin-

What? You mean to say what you apparently seem to imply?

Well, if we are voting for inactives to find an inactive eliminator (which seems to be a very sound situation).

So, if no one has any objections, Danosaur

I'd like to publicly state now, before this gets any bigger (thanks Burnt), that the clarifications that people ask me have always been answered truthfully. :P

Verre

Verre glanced down at the bag that she was holding. She stared at its contents for a moment, mesmerized by the way it caught the light, then drew it closed. She didn't want anybody else seeing what was in it. Not now, at least.

Verre peered around the corner. The alleyway looked clear, but there were multiple nooks and crannies where potential witnesses could be lurking. Rusts. If Verre was a tineye, she could quickly burn tin and see if other people were here. Problem was that Verre wasn't a tineye, and she didn't know any tineyes who would be sympathetic to her cause.

Even Kae had refused to help her. So now Verre had no choice but to sneak across the city, in plain daylight, to recruit her partner-in-crime for this mission.

Verre darted through the alleyway, bag in tow, up to the intersection. She looked both ways, then ran to the next intersection. A pinch of shining dust fluttered out of her bag and marked the path that she'd taken, giving the dreary city an otherworldly look. If Verre had looked back, she would have seen a hint of the Survivor in the silvery trail that she left. But she didn't look back, so she missed it.

Footsteps. Verre scrambled into the shadows and hoped she hadn't been seen or heard. The footsteps came closer, accompanied by the sound of laughter. Then two people, walking side-by-side, came into view. Verre clutched the bag and tried not to breathe as the pair walked past her. When they reached the end of the alleyway, Verre emerged from the shadows and ran.

Finally, she reached her destination. Verre stepped into the safety of the purple doorway and caught her breath. Sprinting through the city was much more exhausting than she'd thought, especially since she'd had to take the long way to avoid other people. But the mission was worth it. It had to be.

Now for the final test: recruiting Jala Ghetti.

Verre knocked on the door. "Jala!" she called out. "I have some glitter." She raised the bag that she'd carried all the way across the city in triumph. "Who do you want to glitter bomb today?"

you're welcome :P

Jala was doing research. Someone had previously mentioned something called 'harmonium' to her and she was almost certain that it didn't exist. Her research only made her think it was made up evem more. A knocking distracted her.

"Jala!" Someone called out. It sounded like Verre, . "I have some glitter." Jala rushed to the door, instantly curious. She openedthe door to see Verre standing there holding up a large bag rather triumphantly.

"Who do you want to glitter bomb today?"

Jala grinned widely. Now this is definitely much more interesting than researching a non existent metal, "Everyone!" She said rather happily. "But we might not have enough.glitter for that... I don't care who we glitter bomb, anyone will be awesome!"

Verre grinned. "How about Danosaur? I haven't seen him lately. No, what about that stinky person who thinks that he's a skaa?"

Jala tilted her head slightly, "might encourage him to take a good long bath. Otherwise the glitter will never come off." she said with a smirk. Glitter was especially annoying to get off.

The GMs have all but confirmed the fact that the remaining evil in the Village is a terrifying extradimensional entity. In other news, I don't know who to suspect but I'm not sure that we should lynch Danosaur as he is a buffer between us and the eliminators.

How is he a buffer?

I don't remember who said this, but eliminators go through inactive villagers like tissue paper. Inactive aren't a very useful buffer, and there are times when the inactive are eliminators.

So it would be a good idea for lynching Dionasur because even if he isn't an eliminator, it might get him to come online and help up out.

You don't need to explain it to me twice, I understand what you all are saying. Go ahead and do your thing, but I doubt that there'll be time to change all of your votes if he does speak.

Fair warning to you all, but Danosaur might be the only player with Feruchemical copper. So if we lynch him, we might lose PM's. I've gotten claims from every player about their Feruchemy except Danosaur, and no one has claimed Feruchemical copper.

I believe what I said was "I will neither confirm nor deny," which, despite this apparent example of confirmation bias, is what I would say regardless of whether there were or were not any Eliminators left.

Rule Clarifications

I have recently finished reading through LG11, and a few things have come to my attention for clarification. There are also some questions which have been asked in PMs that are worth bringing attention to.

Will the Hazecrusher be revealed when it is found?

No. It was in the original game, but it will not be revealed until its use.

If I am killed, what happens to my item(s)?

In LG11, the item was dropped and replaced the item currently in that room. In this game, it is passed to your killer or someone who voted for you.

Will we be notified if someone spikes themselves with an already charged spike?

No. It will not be revealed in the writeup.

If Action 1 a room collapsed but someone was running away to another room in that same action, would they be affected?

Yes.

Can gms be scanned? Can you use a Hazecrusher on a GM?

You can target a GM with any action that you wish, if you want to.

Can I use bronze during the day?

No.

If I was spiked with something that wasn't one of my existing metal powers, and I used one of those currently existing metal powers, would those be shown as hemalurgic or not in a bronze scan?

Not Hemalurgic, regardless of changed alignment. (Assuming you are Village.)

Verre

"Maybe that stinky person isn't the best target," Verre said. "Feels too much like taking advantage of his craziness." Verre thought for a moment. "Ooh, what would happen if we glitter-bombed Lady Laurelin?"

Kae

Verre was missing.

That by itself wasn't a problem. No, the problem was that Verre was missing in a city chock-full of homicidal murderers and lynch-happy citizens who were all to happy to murder someone for offering people a cookie. True, the cookie had been impaled with a strange metal spike, and Yafeshan had been an Inquisitor, but that didn't make up for the fact that they'd just carried out mob justice.

Kae checked the park again. Verre had left her notebook under a cultivated bush, so she couldn't be off somewhere writing in her journal. She wasn't sleeping in the grassy areas, which was only slightly harder than a proper cot. She wasn't walking on one of the paths, or loitering around the closed remnants of the tailor shop. So where could she be?

Kae took a deep breath. Maybe she was off somewhere with Star Thief? Kae remembered how Verre had crowded around Star Thief to pet Star Thief's cat, Moonshine or whatever it was called.

Verre better be with Star Thief somewhere. If not...Kae sent a quick prayer to the Survivor and walked out of the park.
