Allomancy she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I'm back! ... Not that anybody noticed my absence...
Delightful Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 So bacon is a crunchy fatty version of pork? I've never had either.
Voidus Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I...I have a new long-term costuming goal. https://twitter.com/Sabriality/status/696856567292043265 But no. Armored Jean Grey first. Then Eva. RippleGylf she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I found this on Pinterest, and thought Twi might like it. Pug has conquered the stairs! 3

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 So bacon is a crunchy fatty version of pork? I've never had either. It's crispy and salty. I used to dislike it when I was younger; then, I stayed at my grandmother's house and it was bacon or staying hungry, so I tried it and loved it. Nowadays, I've come to realize that if I can't stomach more than two pieces at a time, I probably don't love it.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 It isn't always crispy, some people like it "chewy" which is just gross...It is almost like raw bacon...blergh...
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 It isn't always crispy, some people like it "chewy" which is just gross...It is almost like raw bacon...blergh... I kinda like turkey bacon.
Kaymyth she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 But it looks so cool! Doooo it! Maaaaake it! This message brought to you by the little Voidus on your shoulder because the devil whose usually there got stuck in traffic. I'm sure I probably will do something similar, but not exactly alike. Eventually. ...actually. Oh, man. I got an idea. It isn't always crispy, some people like it "chewy" which is just gross...It is almost like raw bacon...blergh... I almost think that raw would be better. But then, I'm one of those people who prefers my red meat really rare.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I almost think that raw would be better. But then, I'm one of those people who prefers my red meat really rare. Still mooing?
Kaymyth she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Still mooing? Not quite. I do prefer that my meat not actually talk to me. But yeah, I like it rare. Pink in the middle is overcooked.
Citadel16 he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 There is a line between crispy and chewy. I am of the faith that it is upon that line that we may find bacon enlightenment...
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Not quite. I do prefer that my meat not actually talk to me. But yeah, I like it rare. Pink in the middle is overcooked. Yet more evidence for the brain sisters theory.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I like my steak medium rare, myself.
ChickenPlague he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I like my steak medium rare, myself. I like mine overcooked. Black on the outside, a bit pink inside. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I like mine overcooked. Black on the outside, a bit pink inside. Blech. I like mine red all the way through. A steak that goes vooba vooba vooba when you slice into it isn't my idea of delicious. 3
Seonid he/him Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I prefer my steak medium rare. Still red is a no-go, I'm afraid. And chicken must be cooked all the way through. Sausage should be crispy, bacon can go either way for me, I enjoy it all. Turkey bacon is actually pretty good, and I'd recommend it to Delightful (if you can find it kosher, of course). The flavor is similar enough. But in all cases, I actually prefer meat as a flavoring, and not as the main meal. Meat in casseroles, on pizza, in pasta dishes? Love it. Large steaks or chicken breasts as the main course with few side dishes? I'll enjoy it once or twice, but if it becomes a regular thing, I get tired of it real quickly.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Bacon explosion... Eeewww. Too much bacon there. Here's my idea of a well-balanced meal: Put that over some rice, and you've got yourself some deliciousness. 2
The Invested Beard Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 There is a line between crispy and chewy. I am of the faith that it is upon that line that we may find bacon enlightenment... This is exactly how I cook bacon. It is truly an enlightening experience. 1
