Arraenae Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Apparently I am a liberal leftist. It would be much more helpful if I actually knew what that meant. 2

Young Bard he/him Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Yeah. I did this a couple months ago. I was about halfway between ThirdGen and Twi. Knowing that a few of my colleagues consider me extreme, (in Australia, too, a far more left wing society) I can't help wondering what ThirdGen is like politically. Also, finished Bands in 2 sittings. 22/10 (with a few pugs thrown in). Relevant: One of the things we're studying in English class is "Of Mice and Men" by Steinbeck, and "American Beauty". In short, both are about the American dream. If you look at the so-called American Dream, it's actually quite a centre-left wing sentiment. (I say so-called because people have always had this particular notion. It's only recently that the Americans came along and decided that they invented the thing.) So, many people like to imagine they are fair, kind and good people, hence they follow the American Dream, they don't discriminate, yadda yadda. In reality, they tend to more than they like to admit. (Occasionally, you get those who don't even bother to pretend. Listen to Trump talking about how he would "bomb the This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules out of Syria and take their oil".) TL;DR: People are fond of pretending to be left wing. 1
The Honor Spren she/her Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Pick up all your floorbags. Don't hoard catfood! Star Wars typhoon! You can go all night, but know no Kung Fu! No more cartoons, no more Kung Fu. No more Kung fu. 2
