And how do THEY spend their time? Do they limit heir computer/phone usage to give good example?

No, but they excuse it because they're doing work stuff. That's one of the arguments I use, and they always just say "We're the parents. Just obey us." And there's not really anything I can do but use my VPN to get around the restrictions.

@Steeldancer It always makes me happy when children with superior tech-knowledge use it to overcome limitations set by their parents :P

Maybe you can cheat your phone and make it work after certain hour by simply changing the clock on it?

That only works when my mom shuts down my entire phone, through Verizon, because everything else is based on external internet clocks. I've tried everything, it took a bunch of trial and error, but I have a system. So I get by.

Another issue I have is my dad doesn't let me use my laptop in my room. I think he does it because he thinks I'll be unproductive and maybe look at bad things, and yes I'll be unproductive, but honestly, what am I going to get up to on my laptop that I can't do on my phone? Not only that, but my laptop is way better for my homework, and I like working on my bed. And my mom doesn't care. It's just dad.

In other words, I can't wait to get out of my house in 6 months or so. I don't plan on going full on extreme partying, but it'll be nice not to worry about limits anymore.

I have no idea of my unemployment and how to get a job, and my self-esteem is diminished.

I'm with you. Job hunting is so incredibly demoralising.

We went to a banquet, the way there I had GPS. Frankly, no argument convinces them They are wrong in restricting my life, I've tried them all. Part of why I cannot wait to go to college.

Can I ask how old you are?  And where you live?

Probably not as much as I should. I am going to be in Pageant this year, though!

I hear you bro, except for the phone thing since I'm not allowed one :P

Some years ago, when my husband and I were still just dating, we rescued a kitten. Half-starved loaded down with parasites, and about half the size she should have been (at 11 weeks old, the vet thought she was only 6 weeks at first), and was basically on the brink of death. We got her dewormed, defleaed, and healthy and happy.

Turns out, James is allergic to cats.

He tolerated it like a champ for a couple of years, but eventually it got the point where he just couldn't handle it anymore. So I rehomed Schroedie with a friend. (Yes. I named my female cat Schroedinger. Because of course I did.)

Yesterday, my friend had to rush Schroedie to the emergency vet. She was hospitalized with what looked like a severe case of acute pancreatitis. It's a thing that can sneak up out of nowhere with kitties, and cats are notorious for hiding their symptoms when they're sick.

Half an hour ago, I got the call that Schroedie had passed away. Thanks to us, she got seven years of a good life that she would not have otherwise had. But still, I has a sad. My kitty died. :(

Thank you. This is the Schroedie-kitty at naptime. She was the prettiest little tortie tabby you ever did see.

I wasn’t expecting to win that game to begin with but after coming back from a scoreless 1st half to take the lead I’m so pissed off about those last 10 secs! WE RUSTING HAD IT!

No one but the Browns have lost as many last minute playoff games as the Vikings. Saints have had their day.

I've always been a fan of Keenum. I saw a few games of him playing for the University of Houston and he was a fun player to watch that stood out from everyone else. I have been following his career bouncing across the league and am happy that he has found success this year in Minnesota. He went up another notch in my book when he said throwing the game winning pass was the third greatest moment of his life. Behind giving his life to Jesus Christ and marrying his wife. It was so refreshing to hear!

@Kaymyth I'm so sorry you lost your dear kitty. I've been there, and it majorly sucks. She's beautiful, and she's lucky to have had you to give her a better life.

It was -4 F this morning when I got up. (That's -20 C for the rest of the world.)

I am done with winter. So done. You've had enough time to kill all the bugs, go away now.

Utah apparently didn't get the same memo as the rest of the US about turning into Siberia. I had to swat off a pair of mosquitoes on Saturday, no joke!!
