The horror story I started writing yesterday... it is turning into a weird romance where both characters may or may not be planning to kill the other, and I am not sure who of them is supposed to be the monster anymore.

I think that is part of the reason I didn't try to write horror before: I like when the many sides of a conflict are simetrical.

Love, hate, death, violence, eroticism, madness; things closer to each other than they should be. The fact that they are all sides on the same dice is a horror story on its own.

I think this sounds pretty interesting anyway, keep writing XD

Actualy, what I posted is only half of the problem. I need some pratice setting the right mood with the prose, that is part of why I started this side project.

6 upvotes already? I didn't know y'all loved me that much.

Did anyone watch it?

Yay! How was it?

eh, could be better. The band did a storming poor job of food, water, and rest, because apparently we don't need that. The food was terrible, there was no water whatsoever so everyone was getting sick and dehydrated, and we only got about four hours of sleep a night. I was sore from walking around for two days at theme parks, then we had to march the actual parade. And. Just. Mess. We also got no water throughout the entire parade, too.

The parks and stuff were nice but it never felt like a break or vacation.

LARK! I've been waiting for you to come back! :D I have something for you.

just-because-youre-trash-doesnt-mean-you

yep, seen that. Heh, still one of my favorite quotes (actually used it yesterday)

Ha. My phone was dropped into a toilet in the process of flushing.

Yaaaay.  <_<

At least the water was clean when it fell . . . And I was able to grab it before it was flushed down . . . And it was put into rice quickly . . .

I hope it works when it comes back out.  :(

Happened to my phone before. Took some time before it started working again, and the screen brightness fell a lot, but it was usable.

So, I just watched the new episode of Sherlock, and I have to say that it is weirder than any one Doctor Who episode...

...including Love and Monsters.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't that terrible, it was just weirder. (I doubt any episode could match the stupidity of Love and Monsters, but then again, I haven't seen Sleep No More yet) In fact, I don't think I would call it terrible at all, just odd.

Oooh, chull dung.

That.

I totally forgot. Is it still going to be airing? Or do I have to wait a year for Netflix to catch it?

536 words today before I hit a wall, bringing me up to 1,290 words total for this chapter.

Awesome! I reached 2600 words in my file about the alien species I've been working on, but I'm not sure how much of that is from today. I should probably take a break and do a different species while I work out what sort of religion to give these guys.

oh.

That is a thing.

I did not record it, I don't think.

Burn me.

I think there may be another airing on Sunday, let me check.

Edit: Yes, there is another broadcast on whatever PBS channel you have at 10 pm EST on the 10th. So not tomorrow, but a week later.

Yep, set it up to record.

On a side note the Standford band got kicked out of one of the Rose Parade games again. Shocker.

Glad you're back, Lark.

I introduced my brother to Darths and Droids today. Needless to say, he likes it. B)

Edit: Can't I just turn autocorrect off? Please...

I'm becoming more and more nocturnal recently. I haven't been going to bed until about four or five in the morning, and haven't been waking up until three or four in the afternoon. I'm in for a rude awakening when I have to start waking up early again.

Tell me about it. I've got school starting Monday, and I've been staying up until about four lately. I get up at five thirty on school days.

This is not an ideal arrangement, let me tell you that.

New chapter up. Also, apparently writing your own story set in a copyrighted universe that the creator, by law, will never read is A-okay; but only passing references to Star Wars and Disney are allowed because copyright? What-The-Frog-Ever.*

*Was originally "what-the-frig-ever," but this is one of the rare moments when autocorrect actually did something worthwhile.

Edit: I found this and I'm leaving it here.

Every time I'm playing D&D with some friends, I have to remember that Kobolds do not make hiliarious jokes.

It's very hard.

  1. Be the GM.
  2. Introduce a kobold comedian.
  3. Adventures.
  4. Slowly hint that the comedian who's accompanying the party isn't all that he seems.
  5. More adventures.
  6. Adventures.
  7. Experience points.
  8. Climax of the adventure.
  9. Reveal that the kobold comedian is actually the long-lost king of the kobolds, who was testing the party to judge their worthiness as heroes to help him reclaim his kingdom. This sets up the next campaign.
  10. Profit.
