Every time this happens to me, I add another detail to Quota's eventual death scene. Even if I don't use them all, it's oddly cathartic.

Ow! My eye!

Ah, mantis shrimps, the coolest animal of the ocean.

Imagine if they could do chromathurgy.

So is it safe to be in the water around them? They sound more dangerous than sharks. And how big exactly ARE these things??

Doesnt look like they are much bigger than a lobster.

And well... they probably couldnt do more damage to you than brutally punch your toes to pieces, which is still pretty bad.

I've started saying "y'all."

The assimilation has begun.

I spent most of my life in northern states, aside from a year each in North and South Carolina, and four years in Wyoming….yet for some reason, I usually speak with a slight-to-moderate twang.

Do not ask me why.

I know Florida is in 'Disney world' and I think Washington is in "LA' but that's basically the extent of my American geography.

Is Texas even in yee haw, or is it near Disney world/what?

It's kind of hard to tell with that map, crudely drawn as it is, but it looks like "yee haw" takes up Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and part of Arizona. "LA" takes up Washington, Oregon, California, a good portion of Arizona, Nevada, and I think some of Idaho and Montana. "Disney World" takes up the entire southeast, and "New York" takes up the northeast and part of the midwest.

Midwest = West of the middle or middle of the west?

And because I have to laugh at myself too:

Um….both? :P It's more west of the middle, actually; "midwest" usually refers to states like Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin….states that don't fit into "southeast" or "northeast." "West" usually means states like Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, the Dakotas, and Montana—states typically considered "cowboy country." "Southwest" is Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas—states with a strong Mexican influence on their cuisine and other parts of their culture—and "Pacific Northwest" is Washington and Oregon.

This map is highly accurate. :P

I thought Texas was cowboy country.

Also in particularly amused at "old South Wales".

Dude. Old South Wales = South Wales. As in, the south of Wales. In Britain. You got the wrong continent man.
