Briar King Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 On ep 3 of The OA on Netflix. This has been really good so far. Also watched the Sens8 Xmas ep today and was almost brought to tears several times. That show can do it to me easy it's so emo nuts at times.
Briar King Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Finished up The OA today. I thought it was really great but the last few mins def wonders a bit and is massively silly but aside from that it was worth it. Hoping for a S2. now im watching Versailles. On ep 3 and I'm really enjoying the hell out of it. It's def a mature rating so if your uncomfortable with nudity, sex, or seeing bi-gay male sex then you may not want to look this up. It reminds me of The Tudors mixed with Reign. If any of that doesn't phase you then def check this out. Set in 1667 France.
Sunbird she/her Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I saw Passengers in theaters today. That movie gave me even more feels than Rogue One; I'm pretty sure I spent literally half the movie crying. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt's performances were both spectacularly vibrant, emotional, and authentic, excellently complemented by Michael Sheen as the android bartender. Highly recommended.
ThirdGen Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 La La Land is a great time - you should check it out.
Sunbird she/her Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Agree with @ThirdGen. I thought La La Land was a very sweet film with great music. I'm working on catching up on Agents of SHIELD and Gotham. Totally love Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider.

I had to call it quits about two thirds in because it just seemed so incredibly dumb. I'm not against going back, but only if it gets better.
Sunbird she/her Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 @LeftVash the Hatter storyline hasn't completely played itself out yet. The Hatter himself is mostly outta the picture (Arkham) but the GCPD is still feeling the effects of his rampage. Personally I am looking forward to seeing the crem hit the fan once Jim realizes what happened to Barnes.

I really enjoyed season two and it seems like everything I liked has vanished.

I totally thought this revamped the show from that horrible Rise/Freeze season. It actually got into some dark areas.

I'll definitely agree that Freeze was pretty bad, but the beginning of the Court of Owl's was great, Penguin and Ed both started to really shine for me, and I'm sorry but when they finally kill Theo with a bazooka is one of my favorite moments in television. The mad hatter seems intent on just being disturbing, not dark, and it really didn't play well with me. Penguin could be shining Far brighter, but there's way too many distractions from his rule of Gotham. I don't think it's time for Ivy yet, it introduces a thread that overcrowds the already crowded show. There's been so much crowding, even by gotham standards, with imo more winces then pay offs. Now I do get why the last season could be unlikable, but it worked for me. I really struggled with how crowded season three has been while not feeling like there's a single point or plot that will move forward.
Left he/him Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I've been bingeing some netflix originals while I wait for the DC/CW tv shows to return. An Unfortunate Series of Events was pretty good; it was funny, well acted, I think it caught the soul of the books (although I haven't actually read them), but got a little repatative. One Day At A Time was a very funny family comedy that gave me the feels. The characters were Very well done. If you want to learn how to write strong women look at how all three of the women in this series were done. Seriously, this show was hilarious, I totally recommend it, and I can't wait for a second season.
Zea mays Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I binged the new season of Voltron on Netflix, for that perfect dose of nostalgia unmarred by confronting the unreliability of memory. Yeah, I used to watch the old series on Toonami way back in the day. No, I do not think I could watch more that a little bit of it now. Anyway, the new series if fun. Can't wait for the next installments Space dad better be ok. And they better do something incredible with Lotor
Kellybin Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I am watching a Comedy Movie' May I Come in Madam'
Briar King Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Black Sails. The last season will start tonight and I can't wait.
Nashan’Elin he/him Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Finished bingeing every episode of Steven Universe so far. I really love a lot of these cartoons that end up actually having some great messages. And awesome action. And feels. 1

I've only been watching it since last summer, when I binged every episode that was out at the time, but I'm in love with it. I just wish episodes came out more often. But if less episodes means better episodes, then I'm fine.
Oversleep Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Fear not! Next Steven Universe episode airs in 10 hours, 40 minutes and 32 seconds! 31... 30...

A Budgie she/her Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Agatha Christie's Poirot tv series. The one with David Suschet as Poirot. I've watched it so many times over the years, including a few times as a little kid, but I still love it.
Sunbird she/her Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Still trying to keep up with Agents of SHIELD and constantly freaking out over the Darkhold. Kinda wishing I could shove a bunch of Marvel comics from our world documenting all the catastrophes it's caused into their faces and go, "SEE? This is what happens when you screw with the Darkhold!" FYI, I just watched the episode "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics."
Briar King Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Watched a few things today but I just got done with S4 ep2 of The 100 and dug it. I love this show.
