Silverblade5 he/him Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I haven't seen this yet, so I decided to make it. I'll start. Currently SAO and Burn Notice. Thoughts on either?
ThirdGen Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) I haven't seen this yet, so I decided to make it. I'll start. Currently SAO and Burn Notice. Thoughts on either? Burn Notice is fun. Kinda hits that light action series niche Nash Bridges used to, but with spy/heisty plots. Edit: My Love Story! (Oremonogatari!) is really funny and touching. Zea mays Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Today, I observe the ancient Jewish ritual of viewing the extended LoTR trilogy on the 24-25 of December. 6

I have a semi deep hatred towards SAO, and haven't heard of the other. Currently...well I'm waiting for Flash and Arrow to pick back up in January. Till then, I'm switching around between Gotham, Star Trek next gen, re watching West Wing, and just anything that strikes my fancy.v

Currently on S2 Ep 7 There's one for reading, one for audio books, one for music, and one specifically for anime. I didn't see one for general tv. Point me to it, and I will gladly hide this thread.

Jit he/him Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I've been watching Luther - British crime show with Idris Elba it's very very good. 2
Hood he/him Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I've been watching Luther - British crime show with Idris Elba it's very very good. I finished watching it earlier this month. It is a wonderful show. The opening song is PERFECT. And I absolutely adore Alice. She is an amazing psychopathic genius. I liked her even more than Luther. There's another serial which you'll like, if you like Luther. It's "Whitechapel". But unlike Luther as the main character, there's a whole team of detectives.
Left he/him Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. On the other nights I'll watch some anime on netflix.
Mestiv he/him Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I've just finished Galavant Season 2 My GF is laughing at me that I watch a musical, but who cares! This show was super fun, each episode made me laugh and filled me with lots of positive energy ^^ I hope they'll make season 3, although I know it's not that probable...
Briar King Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I love GALAVANT and I'm so mad at my stupid guide. It said it was coming on at 8pm instead of 7pm like usual and sure enough it came on at 7 so I recorded the show after. Now I gotta wait a week for it to unlock on ABC to watch it on my phone. So funny
mattig89ch he/him Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 The following on netflix. Joe Carol Lives!
mattig89ch he/him Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 ok then, I finished up the following, and moved on to farscape. God that series is awesome.
Sunbird she/her Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I am trying to follow too many TV shows at once... Shadowhunters, Gotham, Agent Carter, Legends of Tomorrow...
Darkness Ascendant he/him Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) Watched the new Fantastic four movie last night. I must say, it is a helluva lot more complicated than the originals. And I am going to go watch Deadpool and then go Go Karting with a bunch of friends soon. @Sunbird Shadowhunters? Really? WHY? I have read the first three books in the series and although the plot is pretty good. Cassandra Clare manages to Storm things up. literally. Edited March 1, 2016 by A peasant among wolves

I have read the first three books in the series and although the plot is pretty good. Cassandra Clare manages to Storm things up. literally. I thought the FF reboot was just awful. Putting aside the inability of the FF to function without the special suits (which I thought was really stupid), the whole 2 hours I was bothered by the fact that the Thing had no clothes. What, specifically, do you not like about The Mortal Instruments?

What, specifically, do you not like about The Mortal Instruments? I thought the reboot was interesting. In terms of their costumes and the plotline. Crem. Although it does give way to more possibilities. True. but the Thing, likes to go nude. The Mortal Instruments is meant to be a good book, and then there are some pretty stormed up love triangles.Better than Twilight, worse than everything else.

I'm going to have to politely disagree. Yeah, there's a love triangle, but I'd definitely say the relationships in TMI have considerably more depth than Twilight. In the later books (4-6), Clary and Jace's relationship really grows and matures--the "overprotective boyfriend won't let the girl do anything for herself" nonsense that was all over in Twilight shows up a little bit in the earlier books when Clary is still a noob at Shadowhuntering, but she and Jace get over it with time. Simon also becomes really awesome. (He's my favorite character and one of the few people I will use the word "adorkable" for.)

I asked some of my school-friends who have read Mortal Instruments and they all agree with me. Cassandra should seriously focus on the story itself and not Clary's love life. In fact if you took away this distracting subplot, Mortal Instruments would be a considerably shorter series. Let's change the subject here. One of the things I like about Mortal Instruments are the demons. They are badass
Briar King Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Watched Crouching Tiger 2 last night. Great action but story can't even touch a fraction of the epic that was 1... Glad I watched it but I ll never have to re watch it like I do 1 every so often. Will be watching House of Cards tomorrow!!
mattig89ch he/him Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Just finished farscape. Man I'm going to miss that series. Started better call saul on netflix, almost done with it too after one day. Why do the good series always end too soon?
Left he/him Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I just watched Contact on Netflix. I think that if you liked the Religions thread on the shard, you'll find the strong science/faith themes really enjoyable. I think that those who enjoyed Interstellar would also enjoy it. I really liked it, but it was kinda long.
