Eluvianii he/him Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Rewatching LOTR. I have mandela-effected myself into thinking the famous scene with Gollum arguing with himself takes place in the labyrinth of rocks. It doesn't, it takes place in a forest. The other famous scene, with the rabbit, thought it was in the swamp. Nope, also the forest. Back to back even. How does this happen? I watch these like once a year. I swear those scenes have been core memories of mine for years and they were wrong.
Eluvianii he/him Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Just watched Dust Bunny. That absolutely did not go where I thought it was going, but it was such a fun movie regardless. Family horror film turned out to be an apt descriptor. Really cool visuals too.
clowncarcrash Posted March 4 Posted March 4 After A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Fallout I started to really getting into the Pitt whch is airing its 2nd season now. Its actually interesting because im watching 3 medical shows concurrently, the Scrubs revival, St.Denis and The Pitt. I'm also watching The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. I'm a huuuuge Kimmy Schmit and 30 rock fan, so I am really looking forward to this show. It hasnt hit me the same way as those shows, but I'm coming back every week to watch! 1
Eluvianii he/him Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Just watched The Taste of Tea. This has to be one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. It's like My Neighbors the Yamadas on drugs. The visual tone of the movie is so bland, the color palette soft and dark, the sound design so quiet, the soundtrack almost nonexistent, and yet every scene in the movie is so utterly bizarre, the content and presentation clash so hard they balance each other out. I couldn't tell you what this movie is about. A family lives their lives for 2 hours and 20 minutes I guess. There's nothing going on in this movie yet there's so much. It feels longer too, like I said, a little over two hours yet I feel like I just watched Return of the King. That's a compliment btw, I was enthralled the whole time. Also, Anna Tsuchiya and Hideaki Anno are in it for some reason, which just adds to the weirdness. I am confused, fascinated, and in love with this movie, would be delighted to watch again.
Eluvianii he/him Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Watched Lupin the IIIrd: The Immortal Bloodline. That was awesome, peak Lupin right here, with an incredibly weird plot which is honestly what I've come to expect from the franchise. The bigger the project, the weirder it gets. Plus this movie comes around only to say there is a sixth entry coming to this particular saga. Can't wait to wait six years for this one.
BoingoRider he/him Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Just started a couple of shows. Maul is pretty good so far, love the lighting and atmospheric effects. the new Space Sheriff Gavan infinity is fun, some great action also decided to finally give star trek next gen a go, but doing something as an experiment with it. asked a buddy what were some fun episodes and threw them on a random wheel picker. when i wanna watch an episode ill spin the wheel. kinda doing this to evoke just tuning in on a random episode in syndication. 1
