  1. well i got a system going for my reading list. ive been going from bigger book to little book, in part to build up the 'yeah i finished a book' dopamine before diving into another one. and i started the wheel of time too, so the next books in my to read list are an old doc savage book, the second wheel of time, another doc savage book, and then hero of ages. as for the next brando sando, it probably be yumi cause i got some friends who have read it and loved it.
  2. Just started a couple of shows. Maul is pretty good so far, love the lighting and atmospheric effects. the new Space Sheriff Gavan infinity is fun, some great action also decided to finally give star trek next gen a go, but doing something as an experiment with it. asked a buddy what were some fun episodes and threw them on a random wheel picker. when i wanna watch an episode ill spin the wheel. kinda doing this to evoke just tuning in on a random episode in syndication.
  3. dragons are cool, i tend to like them more when there is a novel take on them. see that's the funny thing about comics, there are rules but each writer has their own slightly different set. and i am a bit of a chaotic weirdo when it comes to suggesting how to get into comics. others will tell you trades or classic stories to ease someone in, not me. i belive the best way to get into comic books is to just go to a comic shop, rummage around the dollar bin and back issues till you see something that sparks interest. buy it, go home, and read it over and over again for a week. then go back, see if there is a next part, or an issue before and get it. if not just look for another book that looks interesting. superhero comics have a lot in common with pro wrestling, where beginners are just expected to jump in, go with the flow, and get caught up.
  4. What is a boingo, and what is the tactical advantage of riding it?

ah, to ride the boingo is to hold on the crest of chaotic whimsy.

and in a none "yes and" way to answer that, it comes from my two favurite things. Oingo Boingo and Kamen Rider.

  5. well I'm working my way thru mistborn era 1, and about half way done with the well of ascension. I can understand why some fell off of MCU post endgame, even though i think most of what came after is pretty good. But when it comes to comics i get into the weirdos, like i have the complete run of the slingers. so far Kelsier hits something hard for me. just the right amount of dick head and good man. what like making music for mistborn? that could be an interesting idea. but i know the music that plays in my head while reading it might not be what shows up for others. cause Nine Inch Nails feels right to me, the super glitch and aggressive in the fights with the more atmospheric for the down time. plus there is the pun in that.
  6. hello one and all. I am Boingo Rider. just started reading the Cosmere, and about half way thru the well of ascension. long time comic book reader, knows way to much about marvel. watch a ton of anime and toku. love me some TTRPGs. I'm a general purpose creative, i make videos, do podcasts, make music, draw, write, stream. wanted to pop in here cause i think forums are neat, and its always good to talk to your fellow man
