I assume my vote on PK not showing up wasn't a mistake?

I had it written down, it just wasn't important so i forgot about it.

Huh. I had actually forgotten about that. Thank you kipper. You can't be lynched this turn now.

Aw, thanks! I was worried about being lynched during the Night, to be honest.

Day Six: Drink with me to days gone by.

Wilkin’s work was interrupted by a knock at the door. He ignored it, his project was more important at the moment. The knocking came again, more insistent this time. He growled, and stood up, striding to the door. Pulling it open, he snapped a quick “What?” at his visitor, then paused in alarm.

Hal Heatherlocke stood grinning at the door, two glasses and a bottle in his hands. “Hello Wilkin. I was wondering if we could share a drink tonight?”

“What are you doing?”

He tsked in disapproval. “I told you, I’m here to share a drink with an old friend.”

Wilkin folded his arms and stared at him. “I don’t trust you Hal, and I have good reason not to.”

“I swear, I shall abide by the ancient customs of Guest and Host. I will not attempt to harm you, nor aid anyone in harming you, I just want a drink.”

Wilking stared hard at the still grinning Heatherlocke, before finally opening the Door wider. “Come in.”

Lariak reveled in his new found power. It infused every inch of him, flowing through him like a panther on the prowl, urging him to use the power to do whatever he wanted. It was a glorious power, the power to take control of another’s will, make them act for you. With this, he could speak with two voices. With this, he would be able to bring down Odium, and take his power for himself. Dominion and Odium. He iddly wondered what such a shard would be called. Control? Enslavement? Domination?

Domination sounded good.

He let some of the power flow out of him, brightening the darkened clearing. It flowed around him before rejoining the rest of his power. As the last of it’s light faded away, Lariak could swear he saw it illuminate a figure. He frowned, and focused on where it had been. He couldn’t see anything any more. What was it?

He sent out more power, illuminating the area. the Tendril of purple light was disrupted as an Arrow flew threw it, embedding itself in his chest. He gasped and stumbled backwards, windmilling as he failed to keep balance. He barely felt the ground hit him, as he stared at the shaft sticking out of his chest. He tried to cry out, but found he could no longer draw breath. The night, already dark, seemed to dim in his vision, until all was black.

Wilkin sat across the table from Heatherlocke, and watched as he poured drinks into the glasses. He smiled, and pushed one across to him. “Wilkin old pal, you really need to lighten up. You’re getting too stressed, too focused. Take a drink.”

Exisa. Exisa was still alive. Wilkin knew that. What if he had more poison? What if this was a ploy? He reached across the table, and snatched Hal’s glass away from him, moving the glass that had been poured for him into its place.

“I’ll drink after you, Hal.”

His guest raised one eyebrow, then took up the glass in front of him. He swirled it idly, then took a sip. “No poison, i promise you that.”

When Wilkin didn’t move to take the glass, Hal sighed, then threw back his entire drink at once, downing it in several large gulps. He sighed appreciatively as he thunked the glass back onto the table. “Well, at least one of us is going to have a good time tonight. You can drink or not as you like.”

Wilkin slowly picked up the glass and took a small sip. It tasted normal, but, didn’t most poisons taste normal? “I don’t believe you’re here for just drinks and talk Hal. Why did you really come?”

Hal winked slyly, then pointed towards the door. It rattled in its frame as someone on the other side pounded on it desperately.

”Wilkin! Open up!”

Queenmaker drew the string back to her ear and looked down the length of her arrow. She slowed her breathing, setting everything she had to this shot. Odium moved slowly into her line of fire, looking this way and that, hunting her. She would show him who the Hunter was. He stepped closer, only a foot away before it would be a perfect shot.

“Boo!”

She flinched, releasing the string by instinct as she whirled around to see who had snuck up on her. A grinning figure of Red Smoke Stood behind her, one hand over it’s eyes as it followed the path of the arrow. It grinned as the arrow whistled through What had appeared to be Odium. Nothing happened to him, he simply continued searching.

The Figure nodded appreciatively at the shot. “Good thing I had an illusion wandering about. Now then Queenmaker the Arrow was it? This has been a mighty fine hunt, I really enjoyed it, but you lost. You know what that means right?”

Queenmaker didn’t bother to respond. she simply leapt backwards, firing off an instinctive snap shot. Odium caught the arrow and examined it, before tossing it over his shoulder. “Well, it appears you’re a sore loser. That’s good! It gives me an excuse to be a sore winner!”

The Figure exploded into a Cloud, spreading out around Queenmaker, enclosing her in a sphere of Dark Power and Malice. Queenmaker cursed and fired another arrow at where Odium had stood in the Smoke.

A spear of Solid power shattered the arrow midflight, then continued forward, impaling her through the belly. She gasped and tried to slide off it, when another struck from behind. And another. And another. And another.

Consciousness fled her.

Wilkin opened the door to find a panic’d Eon. “Queenmaker is dead, her Shard has fled somewhere. Lariak also. Two of our shards, just gone! The Seventeenth Shard is close to rioting in panic! They won’t listen to me wilkin. What do we do?”

Wilkin, slowly turned away from Eon to face Heatherlocke. The man smiled and raised his glass in a mocking Salute. “I love the look on your face right now. Beautiful.”

Queenmaker was Endowment!

Macen was Dominion!

Day Six will end in 72 hours! Three days. I will be offline for most of Friday and Saturday, due to stuff happening.

Great Writeup, Joe! That was awesome!

...but the results aren't pleasing. What happened to the roleblocks that were supposed to be on Odium?

Hey Coco, I've seen you viewing the thread a couple times but you haven't posted in a good long while. Why is that? Do you not have any suspicions or thoughts about the game you'd like to voice?

Posted

Only have a few moments right now, so I'll be brief. I've been checking this thread when I can, but I haven't had the time to make a full post yet. Good job, everyone, but especially Wilson, for catching some of Odium's allies. Do we have any idea how many are left of them?

I'm hoping to be able to jump on again tomorrow and post a vote, but I'll have to see how my times works out.

Eh, that's mostly because I'm a bit confused at what's happening anymore. Most of the discussions are happening in PMs and I don't even trust anyone so *shrugs*

Good for you Nico. The first rule of SE is (or should be)" Don't trust anyone". Still you don't need to trust people to talk to them in PMs. Talking to people you don't trust is often more useful than talking with people you do. You wouldn't want to ruin the game for yourself just because of a little lack of trust.

WHY ARE THEY NOT WORRIED ABOUT ODIUM?

I guess they think that Cult has it all under control.

BUT PEOPLE ARE STILL DYING. WHY HAS ONLY ONE ASKED FOR ANSWERS

Beats me. Would you know anything about trying to tell most people what to do while doing your Shardic Activities?

I COULD CERTAINLY GIVE IT A GO. MY FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO GIVE MOST OF MY RESPONSIBILITIES TO SOMEONE ELSE.

That makes you rely on someone else, you know.

I SEE NOW WHY ODIUM WANTS YOU WORLDHOPPERS DEAD. YOU'RE ALL INSUFFERABLE.

That is not nice, Odium can only kill Shards anyway.

WHY IS CULT STILL ALIVE THEN? WHY HAS ODIUM NOT TAKEN ACTION?

You can be the evil one, I'm mostly fine with the situation.

ALRIGHT THEN, YOU LAZY! I HEREBY STATE MY INTENTION OF WORKING WITH ODIUM. CULTIVATION SHALL PERISH IN TIME AND ALL FORMS OF COMMUNICATION WILL FALL. IT WILL BE AN AGE OF DARKNESS WITH ODIUM AT THE THRONE AND ME AT HIS SIDE, THE MIGHTY LEYTON!

You know you can't do any of those things, right?

BUT I AM ALL POWERFUL!

You are a voice in my head, now shush before the town decides to lynch us.

Well, that was a game-changer.

I invite the new holder of Endowment to invest in me tonight with Dominion. Send me a message with your identity, and Cultivation and I can get PM's set up to coordinate.

I hope there won't be any more coordinating necessary, but with how many shards have been dying, that hope seems to be very faint.

For now, though, I will vote for Hael

I highly, very highly doubt that he's Odium still, but he is a known Odium's Champion, and we probably should whittle down the evil Shards' ability to invest in allied players.

Posted

Do you really want to get invested by Dominion? So far Dominions holders haven't had the best luck with stuff like surviving.

Posted

This is true...

Certainly a risky proposition.

Also, to reply to Stink's implied accusation of Wilson, let's ask ourselves the question: What if she is evil?

What has she done? She outed Alvron as the OC Shard of Dominion, and led the lynch on him. She led the lynch on Eol, another OC. She identified Haelbarde as Odium, even though it it's likely that he has passed on the Shard by now.

If she is on Team Evil, she certainly gets the Threw My Own Team Members Under The Bus award for this game. That's either half of her team, or more than half, depending on whether there are 5 or 6 champions.

If she's evil, she's been playing for our side and betraying her team. And Wilson's not a person who betrays her team. She has never, to my knowledge, broken an alliance that someone else didn't break first.

So maybe she has a strategy with this. Maybe there is some sort of tactic that involves getting half of your own team deliberately killed. Maybe it's to get herself so deeply in our trust that we could never lynch her. Let me tell you this - Wilson doesn't survive a game. She plays these games expecting to die, and to die early.

The evidence is so hugely against Wilson being evil that honestly, your accusation is suspicious in and of itself.

Imma vote for Nicco as well, because he iz totes bad.

An Awakener Scanned him and discovered, to my horror, that he is a Shard from Scadrial! This is Ruin, and since Ruin is evil, nicco must die.
