Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

I know, I was just thinking I would have done the exact same thing, so no hard feelings to whoever did that. I also realize it doesn't even have to have been an eliminator that did that so I feel I must apologize. I'm very sorry for my hurtful words to you Odium. There.

Oh, don't be sorry. Do it again! What did you think my Intent was?

So you Hate yourself then? I guess I can make use of that. I can give you Odium back if you want. Would that make you happy?

Fairly well, since that's the only part of Hael's body I see on here.

You would think that people trying to prove that they were Odium would post a lot, as that might make people hate them...

Day Five: Would it kill you guys to just die already?

Odium, Shard of Hatred threw the wooden sphere with all his might. It whistled as it sped through the air before impacting at the far end of the playing field. The three shards watched as the ground settled from the impact before Survival declared the score.

“Another 140 Points to Odium, Endowment, it’s your throw.”

Endowment nodded thoughtfully and perused the available spheres left to throw. A couple of Reversal spheres, a Inversion sphere, some Radiants, some Growth, and a Equalizer Sphere. “So Odium, if you were in my position, which would you throw?”

His opponent glanced over at the rack, then pointed at the Inversion sphere. “If you’re lucky, you could pull off a Crown pairing with that one. Of course, you’d run the risk of me removing the Growth Spheres.”

“Is that a metaphor for something else, or actual advice?”

“You’re the one who invited me here, which did you want to hear?”

She frowned, then picked up the Inversion sphere and tossed it underhand towards the center of the field. She winced as it bounced off one of the previously thrown spheres and rolled into a Void zone. “Well, hopefully my next gambit pays off better."

Odium smirked. “And now I get to ask you if that’s a metaphor or not.”

That drew a chuckle from Survival, who was playing the neutral referee for their game. “What the two of you should be asking is if i’m the metaphor or not. Am I still neutral?”

Odium and Endowment both stared at him, then met eyes and tried to gauge whether or not the other had converted him, either that or they were trying to fake not having converted him.

Odium scowled and tossed his drink onto the field as he stood. “Right, I’m done with this game. I’ll see you two later.” He dropped his Physical Form and entered Shadesmar, leaving Nalthis and its silly games behind. What a waste of a night.

Are Metaphors Meta? Who knows?

Boring Nights get you confusing writeups that make you question things you thought you knew.

Wait a minute. If the inversion sphere rolls into the void zone, shouldn't endowment have hit the jackpot? I'm not sure survival is calculating the score fairly. And that means he's on Odium's side.

Endowment acknowledged that the points were fair. And the scores were 570-380, in Endowment's favour. Endowment hit the jackpot on the throw beforehand.
