Briar King Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Woot! Sitting inside on the floor for an hour waiting in the heat while 3 other viewings are forced to wait outside in 40F! I want to see this movie SO BAD! 1 hr to go!
Delightful Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 A 13 year old who was stabbed and nearly killed a few weeks ago just celebrated his Bar Mitzvah along with the paramedics who saved him. 4
Unhinged he/him Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Ha ha managed to get almost all my Christmas shopping done early this year. How did I do it you ask I just bought everyone in my family who reads, Sanderson novels.
Mestiv he/him Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I've seen the new star wars and I liked it a lot ^^
Orlion Blight he/him Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I've seen the new star wars and I liked it a lot ^^ I did as well!
Stormgate he/him Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Spoilers! (Look up 'Studio C spoilers' for reference). In all seriousness, I just joined Diaemus, and I am having a lot of ideas that will make my area either the most popular, or avoided by the rest of the planet.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I just got Bruce's paperwork today. Seeing Bruce Wayne Batpug printed in serious letters above the golden seal of the American Canine Association is amusing me to no end. 8
Orlion Blight he/him Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I finally found my copy of The Judging Eye! The journey to madness and existential terror can continue without me having to spend more money! 1
Kasimir he/him Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Got back my grades for penultimate semester. Straight A+s, and my GPA moved up by 0.01. (...Not proportionate -.-''') Still, I'm pretty happy as this pushes me past this barrier I've been trying to break for a while, and one of those classes was giving me a lot of trouble. Now the next big problem: how to maintain this for one last semester o.O 3
Hood he/him Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 My exams are over. Now, no going to classes for 2 weeks. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I got my new glasses! Yay sight! 6
Delightful Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I got my new glasses! Yay sight!Isn't it wonderful? 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Isn't it wonderful? It's especially nice in this case because I waited so long to get my prescription updated that my old pair was literally falling apart. One of those plastic nose rest things had already broken, so when the second one broke I knew it was time to change things. The metal frames were starting to hurt my nose.

Doesn't help you now, but if that ever happens again, any glasses store can and will fix that, probably for free. One of mine popped off during the summer, and the store I took it to fixed it for free. Wasn't where I bought my glasses either. Just future reference. I know that feeling of metal resting against the nose and it's rather unpleasant. 1

I know that feeling of metal resting against the nose and it's rather unpleasant. Good to know. It's a problem I won't have to deal with for the time being, since I got plastic lenses this time around, but if I get metal frames again, I'll remember that.
+Slowswift Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Speaking of glasses, it's probably time to update my prescription. Also, the right lens is this close to falling off. The little wire that keeps it in place is starting to come loose.

A simple "Reparo" spell followed by "Prescrptionus Updatius" would be much better than visiting the optometrist. 4

Ouch! What little Wilson said - places will sometimes happily change the nose pads or adjust the...bendableness of the bits that go behind your ears if they're too tight or loose. Yes that was a technical description. XP 1
Stormgate he/him Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) After five years, one house fire, and about a zillion times printing out paperwork, I had my Eagle Scout Board of Review today. I'm officially an Eagle Scout as of today, I just need to get around to holding a Court of Honor. Edited December 23, 2015 by Stormgate 6
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Congratulations! I haven't made it anywhere near that far yet, but I know what getting a couple of the smaller awards feels like, so I'm sure that feels awesome.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 My youngest sister got some Supergirl comics as an early Christmas present. She expressed dismay at some of the bizarre poses and costumes the artist foisted upon the title character. So I introduced her to the Hawkeye Initiative. 4

Edgedancer he/him Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 What the heck did I just see Equality. On the good news side for me. The medicine the doctor gve me against the inflammation in my knee actually had a noticable effect. It's not gone yet but better. 4
Stormgate he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Oh. My brother has been allergic to corn for years, and he recently completed a treatment called Oral Immuno-Therapy (OIT) for corn, after two other rounds for egg and peanut. He is now able to eat donuts, most cookies, frosting, sprinkles, and more. It's surprising how much corn is in stuff. But we don't have to deal with that anymore! 2
Queen Elsa Steelheart she/her Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Cool news: I got my first job! :D Very exciting 4
