...I'm actually in favor of mass-claim on the grounds that most of the powers are distributed among three people, making it less vulnerable to targeted sniping compared to normal games. Whereas having it in the open is still useful.

In my view, the information the claims give us is actually secondary, more important is that the baddies are held accountable, and have to justify their intended (mis)use of shared abilities to more than just 0-2 docmates.

...I also don't really care that much I don't think it's critical that we do or don't mass-claim. I guess it beats not having anything to talk about

Mother`s milk in a cup, the month had not gone well for Tesan Alruddin. Finally back after 12  grueling years outside the tower in Bandar Eban, Caemlyn and Cairhien, where she had been trapped after those goat-kissing aielmen sieged and put the city to the torch. It wasnt all that bad really, they seemed to have some care on what they burned, and she did not see any of them, so the delay at least had been minimal. She was anxious and ready to meet the amyrlin, only to discover that she had the indecency to dissapear just the night before. Blood and bloddy ashes. Well, that only meant that a new Amyrlin had to be elected post-haste, and Tesan would make sure that it was one that saw the world just like her. No time to dally, she made her way to her ajahs quarters to begin her work.

Just thinking about it a little, I don’t see why anyone would go out of their way to pretend they were from a different Ajah right in the beginning of the game. Either Taimon is Blue. Or whoever gets elected as Sitter from Blue will confirm he’s lying. There’s too many people who would know and not enough benefit

I've read the rules. post for LG7. I've read my Sign-up. I've looked at it for about 2 minutes, and I can confirm that this sentence means nothing to me. I apparently played in this game, but I have zero memories of it.

It's basically a doc (rather than a thread) where people hang out to chat, speculate about the game, comment on it, and just chill. As players die, they'll be added to the doc. It's the GM's discretion on whether or not to keep the doc spoiler-lite, but usually what we do is we have a bit of a game where the doc stays spoiler-lite but each spectators and dead player can ask the GM one question and receive an honest answer. Big asks early in the game usually get trolled or just declined, small/clever asks are fine, so it encourages people to stay engaged with the flow of the game/to try to solve together, even when dead.

But it can also be chill!

You'd be surprised. It's usually useful as a litmus test for basic reads or a very, very soft reaction test because Elims tend to over-camp in what they intuitively take to be Village responses. Opening the anon voting discussion is pretty much guaranteed to be a goldmine in this case. In your case though, you're screwy enough that while I do want to V!lean you for your response, I can't support that position in a strong way.

Hmmm, you do make a decent point--however, only the White Ajah has an ability that isn't done by unanimous decision.

Then again, I suppose there is the concern of the Black Ajah having a majority in any of the real Ajahs.

I do still think revealing 'easy targets' to the elims is not the best idea n0, though.

But there was just one problem. His Ajah he was technically a part of was electing a new seat that night. And he was one of the candidates. 

Surely another one of them would be elected over him, right? Surely he wouldn't have such terrible awful luck as to be thrust into the spotlight like that?

...Fair. It's definitely possible it's a quick correction, but really my experience with that kind of reaction fishing is that it's more rare for Elims to take what they think is intuitively an anti-Village view - they're more inclined to be safe, and I think that both the set-up from everyone plus the way it was being framed incentivises (if reacting, I'm sure some could just as easily ignore it) going to the safety / don't claim side.

Which is why I could see one Elim in the people who responded, but also /shrug. Yeah, not particularly strong but it's a starting point worth noting. I think the main read I did get from it is a weak V lean on you - as I said, you're screwy enough with contrarian instincts as Elim that I could see you deliberately make the opposite push regardless. But I feel good enough ascribing the weak V lean for now and trusting myself to correct over time if you're, you know, pretty damn Evil.

You can't N0 me anyway so you're going to have to put up with me for at least a cycle

I will say also I do think there's something slightly tonally off about Steel, but I also don't super feel confident in tired!Kas's ability to pick up on it. More noting this for myself to revisit tomorrow when less exhausted. I kind of think Steel was less pushy than Jo and Gaea and that sticks out to me as an outlier.
