Dai-gonarthis’s price

It seems like this is something which will have a big impact on the back half. Does anybody have any ideas for what this price might be? To me it sounds a lot like the Nightwatcher’s boon and curse - scary if that’s on a shardic level.

If Dai-Gonarthis is the Black Fisher/Piper, it might involve giving up emotions -- either of the Fused, or of Odium. A few Death Rattles hint at this, and they haven't been used yet. Also, Taravangian has been balancing on a thin wire with his emotions, so that price could be very expensive for him.

Honestly Dai-gonarthis’s baseline price isn't that high but she's set up one of those touchscreen tip prompts and you don't know if you'll get good service if you don't tip so her price is like 25 percent higher in practice

There is a comment about Dai-Gonarthis just wanting to destroy, I would guess her cost is to be let off the leash so to speak. Aimia's scouring was likely a cost of her's.

Hm I’ve been thinking of this as being due to Dai-Gonarthis providing the Elsegate for the scourers to get past the storm.

I could see that too. Both seems plausible to me.

Yep. So sad to think of all those singers forced through the Elsegate and now burdened with student loans at usurious rates. They'll never pay off more than the interest!

I doubt that, especially since Taravangian in essence kept the city (or at least it’s people) around. I suspect it is something more personal, and with greater ramifications for Taravangian and his powers.

Turned out it is “piper” as in pay the piper. My guess is she will get to consume a region at some point. Odd though that Taravangian couldn’t just re-unmake them first though.
