  1. Regarding sel don't we see some references to aonic force fields or something?
  2. Are we to understand that the Rosharians working on behalf of Retribution/Odium now? My recollection is that at the end of The Skybreaker presumably has access to his surges? As of the end of Stormlight 5 those are only coming from Retribution, right? Or are people still able to bond Spren without his permission/control?
  3. Do we know that he is a Paathian and not a Survivorist?
  4. He says to Shallan's that they've had their own crisis on Scadrial recently. I read this to mean that the conversation takes place after events of TLM.
  5. I understood Heleran to be the bastard referred to by Nale, since he is the only one who doesn't have some kind of mental health type issue (at least that we're aware of).
  6. Honestly Dai-gonarthis’s baseline price isn't that high but she's set up one of those touchscreen tip prompts and you don't know if you'll get good service if you don't tip so her price is like 25 percent higher in practice
  7. We don't have many books taking place afterwards but I believe that there are some general references to what's happening in Roshar in The Lost Metal.
  8. We were told that the SF calling Kaladin "son of Tanavast" as opposed to merely "son of Honor" (like for Dalinor) had some specific meaning for Kaladin. Do we get any insight on this?
  9. So this turned out to be right, though apparently not Cultivation's plan and not restrictive of Hodium the way that I'd expect. I'm guessing that the wording was still foreshadowing. I had always kind of understood Honor and Odium to be more in the way of antagonists, with Odium being about yielding to your emotion and desires and Honor being about sublimating them to a higher purpose, but apparently that was not correct.
  10. 5. What was up with Shallans childhood? Why was she improsined? I assume that this has something to do with her inherited mental illness. 16. What was the point of going into the visions? I dont understand Cultivations plan. Sanderson had a ton of backstory to fill to make his story make sense and decided to do a giant dump. 21. Can Retribution not just destroy the Heralds the moment they leave their oathpact, as he has authority over all of Honor? Just like Odium could have destroyed the Fused or remade an Unmade? I don't think that they leave the oathpact by coming to Roshar. The oathpact goes on. I
  11. That is a good thought on the stone-hadn't made the connection.
  12. So, one of the things that has never really been explained as far as I can tell, is why Roshar has embodying unintelligent Spren (lifespren, heatspren, etc) when nowhere else in the cosmere has them. We see intelligent spren (i.e. seons) elsewhere but not phenomenon on roshar where all sorts of generalized concepts have visible spren. So Shinovar does not have any of these kinds of spren as Kaladin notes. And it appears to have foliiage/fauna resembling other planets rather than what we see on Roshar. And the people are shorter and have round/caucasian eyes. So I'm wondering if there is something sort of supernaturally distinct about Shinovar, a kind of enclave that's cosmerically different from Roshar.
  13. Cultivation says this to Taravangian after he ascends. I wonder if this a bit of a double entendre? WoB has reiterated a few times that Rayse never too any other shards because he knew it would change him and he wanted to stay Odium. But Taravangian isn't as sophisticated and isn't as ideologically attached to being Odium. And now Cultivation has leaked the location of Honor's power to Dalinar. Is it possible that she's trying instead to get Taravangian to take it up, effectively crippling/binding him the way that say Harmony is bound. Or if not bound restricted and controlled by his second shard?
  14. The thing that is odd is that he says that "we didn't realize it." I assumed that cosmere savvy people understood that the mists were part of preservation. Regular scadrialians didn't but they didn't know about preservation at all. Also the mists long predate preservation's death.
  15. I think that Shallan can hear her because of her heritage as the daughter of a herald. We also know that the unmade were influencing her family-it's possible that she has some sort of connection to BAM.
