you were correct, I had just turned 19 at last year's con. Student teaching was a wild time though. 

Turns out giving high schoolers a lab assigment with things like rubbing alcholol, lithium, and matches was a phenomenal idea. Granted, I had done other, less risky labs that made sure I could trust them, and heavily emphasized fire safety that day, so they (mostly) treated the lab with respect.

I'm pretty sure a solid 30% of the science I know I learned from that show. As well as a bunch of random things like how cheese is made and who the Blue Man Group is.

Yes, but that was not around when I was a kid. We had Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam, The Wiggles, Play School and many others

I remember the Octonauts (the theme song is playing in my head *dundundun dudun dun dun dun dudududun…*), The Wild Krats, Bill Nye, Mighty Machines (Yes. I'm Canadian), The Magic School Bus, Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer (I learned some Español) and last but absolutely not least… SESAME STREET!
