IMPORTANT QUESTION

  1. 1. What do you want to happen to this RP when the current plotline ends?

    • Start another RP of the same characters, like a season 2
      3
    • Keep going with no plan at all
      0
    • Make new characters and have an RP of a similar concept, but, effectively with a new party
      3
    • End the RP (THIS ONE BETTER NOT WIN BUT I FELT I HAD TO ADD IT ANYWAYS)

Tenth hesitated. "Why..." He frowned. The last question had never occurred to him. Why were they conquerors? He decided to ignore it. "We have tried combining them, and it has been successful. However, we do not have abundant quantum computing or AI, so the breakthrough is slightly contained. A central computer. This," he gestured to a button, speaker and microphone on the rifle, "was supposed to receive and send messages from and to the central AI. It's been quiet since I travelled here, though.

Nick, or rather, SIMON notices the cognitive dissonance, but decides to bring it up later, continuing an informative line of questioning before potentially making Tenth stop talking altogether. “Interesting. So a super-intelligence isn’t the only possible outcome; perhaps the teleportation and the different quantum AI outcomes are related.”
Nick looks at the rifle speaker, and SIMON cycles through frequencies, saying test on each one. “Do you know how that thing connects to the AI? Did your world have an internet?”

Tenth nodded. "We had long distance wave comms. Essentially just Dashed Code. We have an entire planet dedicated to this, computing in real time the relative angle and position of the receiver planets and sending a constant reproduction and duplicate of the most important network traffic."

“Wait… how fast does light go for you? Even with our semi-tachyonic warp messaging, we can only send information a couple hundred times faster than it, so it takes several days to communicate between most star systems.”

The normal speed of light is about 40,000 meters per second.
Would SIMON be able to reach the rifle with the frequency broadcasting?

As the conversation continues, the One gasps slightly and a surge of yellow energy fills your vision.

When it fades, all you can see is a dimly lit room, with a door on the far end. The room is filled with weapons and supplies. (Think earth weapons, so guns and explosives) As well as packs with food, and a few sets of medieval weapons for those from farther in the past.

Get everything you need. It won't be long before they find this place.

Same.

“We do not travel too far; our teleportation can only do so much. We have only travelled throughout our star system, so the distance required for light to travel is much less.”

SIMON could reach the rifle.

Tenth grabs ammunition for his rifle, as well as looks around hopefully for an exosuit.

Does Nick get any future tech? Probably the most useful thing by he could get is internet connection.

As the energy fills Nick’s vision, he calls out, “farewell, One!” He does have SIMON try to identify why the energy is filling his vision.
Once in the room, he looks around at the stockpile. “I think it’s getting faster. Earlier, there was energy pooling around us, but now it goes through our vision.”
Nick quickly scans the area for a xenosuit or a computer, then grabs himself a bunch of food, random grenades, and other weapons. Then, he tries the door, hoping there is more useful supplies on the other side.

Nick’s voice speaks through the rifle even as Nick looks through the safehouse for tech his level. “So your star system has civilizations on multiple planets? Interesting… we’ll talk about this later. You wanted a xenosuit, right?”

Aaa sorry

It’s Dave now

Glinte looks around in confusion at the ‘eldritch’ weapons, then picks up a grenade.

Kaleb, who has recovered, grabs one of the medieval weapons (a spear) and a pack of food.

You cannot find an exosuit, although you do find a helmet that seems to have an AI and advanced camera and night vision features.

Nick can find some basic futuristic weapons, but not much.

The grenade is fairly simple and pretty much just an earth grenade.

Nick takes them; other civilizations seem to have much better power generation than him. Then he opens the door, looking outside the room.

“This is an explosive?” Glinte asks, thinking back to the gargantuan cannons of his homeworld.

In the room beyond, there are cots and medical supplies like bandages, antiseptics and painkillers, clearly designed for quick battlefield use. Whoever made this place knew what they were doing.

The weaponry that you found were adaptations on rifles that seem to use some kind of fusion to propel a bullet.  (Don't think too hard on it. It wouldn't work on earth, they have specialized materials that we don't.)

Wghoo I was paying attention hello hi

Larry grabbed a couple of grenades and a handgun, remembering physical ammunition's effectiveness against the rebel knights. He then joined Nick at the door and entered the medical room. "Is this supposed to be like a supply closet for a colosseum or something?"

Can I make it a low power railgun? That makes sense, fusion wise.

Nice. Basically all that means here is that the recoil is weird.
