An old, hobbled man in a fur cloak walks slowly out from behind a tangle of bushes.

"I believe you know of me." He says. "I am what this little Spirit calls the One."

Tenth teleported right in front of him. “I’m apparently from another world, and have been brought here against my will.” He gave a sickly grin, showing teeth. “Now can you take us away, if you are so powerful?”

“Interesting… so it reassembles itself? I suppose it doesn’t matter; physics is crying in a corner right now, I expect. I and my assistant SIMON will take the oath. I will attempt to fully remove this from my memory - is there any information I may keep?”

"Raw power is...difficult. The energy I deal with, that of Repellilor, is much easier to use. Repelling other things with kinetic force. What I call raw power is that of Magite, the energy used by the strange wizards to the south. There is also the Elloviirite, which pulls energy from the world of the dead, sometimes carrying dead along with it. Those in Stonetown in the east utilize Kibirium, which absorbs kinetic energy to be released at a later date." The One sighs. "What is within you lot, well, it doesn't classify within any of the four stones."

He seems dissapointed by this. "No, it seems that there may be a fifth stone that was unknown to us."

The island rumbles, and he shakes his head. "This is not the time for a lesson in Magic." He stretches out both hands, and pinkish waves of warped air pulsate out from his hands for a few seconds. Then, it seems that you begin levitating above the island, but truly you are just suspended in the air, while the island falls into the lake below.

There is a deafening crash as the island breaks apart upon impact.

They each seem to possess one fundamental change in physics, typically resulting in something that could be described as magic, and are in different time periods, technology wise.” The One uses his magic, suspending Nick in the air. “Whoa. You can do this casually? Imagine what you’d be capable of if you tried your hardest… If you attempt to help us, I believe I have some secrets that could be of use to you, assuming the fundamental laws of physics are the same here as where I come from. The raw energy that powers our teleportation coalesces around us when we are about to do so. It is a bright yellow, and seems incredibly energy dense.”

“Yes, and he threw it somehow, it also kept changing weight. He and an army attacked the town we appeared in, but when he died he turned to dust, leaving behind some crystals. Do you think fighting the army caused any problems? They’ve surrendered, now, so I don’t think we can do anything about it.”

"He... He must have been one of the Changers. You have identified their power, I believe. They can change somethings weight quickly and drastically. You should never go near one if they have a pouch of sand on hand. It can be quite deadly." The One sighs. "Alas, it has been a long time since one of them roamed these parts. during the Split of the Realms, they were cast into the Pocket while we, and most of the world, stayed here. Him having Kibirium inside himself means that he was poisoned, most likely by one of the Ovreni-servants, or perhaps even an Ovren."

"The Kibirium, drawing in kinetic energy, has been found also able to draw in the strange, toxic magic of the Ovren and their armies. He may have been part of the main rebellion against them, or not. It is unclear. I do hope that some of their soldiers survived, for war may soon ravaged all five Realms once again."

"In regards to your current situation, I must offer some aid. I most likely cannot travel with you, but if I could give you any supplies or equipment you may need, I think it may be appreciated. I have a few weapons, that I can part with."

He lifts one hand, and a shiny, pristine shortsword appears out of nowhere. "A useful trait of Repellilor is this, the ability to connect oneself with tools and items to call them to your location. Anyways, one of you can take this. It has only one extra property, sadly enough, but one decent. If you say the word 'die', it will activate it and the next person stabbed by it will be injected with a deadly toxin. There is only one dose, I'm afraid."
