Strangely enough, though, healing the cut didn't make the pain stop. The blood had been offered, and the spirit was fulfilling its duty. Dilsha ran faster. Rot! Rotrotrotrotrot...this is going all wrong.

Ty waited patiently for someone to ask for his assistance.

It did stop hurting. He did magicky stuff.

"Stop!" His words carried magical weight, and Dilsha felt herself freeze up, muscles going rigid.

He gritted his teeth as it began, but the cut healed in an instant and it stopped. He ran after her, and was upon her in a second. "You aren't making this any better for yourself!"

Sono drew her own blood, then wrote a single word: CEASE

Darkness immediately fell all over, and silence persisted, forcing everyone to stop what they were doing.

Dilsha laughed at the magical effects. This was something she’d been trained in almost since birth. And so, while they stopped and ceased, she ran.

Also, Archie: that definitely works, I just wanted to clarify that it wasn’t the cut closing that stopped her magic to avoid confusion in the future.

"Uh, of course?" Ty was unsure yet still cheerful.

The man pursuing her kept at it as well. She felt a sharp pain across the back of her head as his cane made contact.

This would easily knock her out of she was normal, but she might have some sort of resistive or healing ability I imagine.

Will was stuck. And rather frustrated at that.

She was not running very fast.

"Rot it all! It's no good now." Will watched her run away. If she truly knew . . . well he might as well decay here and now.

Edit: People keep posting at the same time and so my posts end up not working quite right lol, sorry if things are a little muddled. Just work with whats best, and assume maybe will was a little slow to action.

Yes sorry you can wake up, he only needed to be asleep so Polton could get past him.

Dilsha glared at him, thought her vision was starting to blur. “You and your people. Such brutes. You have…you have no right…” she blacked out.

Ah sorry all I have to go for an hour, feel free to…I dunno, take me to a dungeon or something.

Alright, thanks.

Alex stood up, groggy. Then he saw the man, that strange man. He was HITTING DIL! Alex stumbled forward as fast as he could and tackled the man. He wrestled the cane out of the man’s grasp with inhuman strength, then began to lay into the man with his fists, not bothering to pull out his knife.

If (Polton?) can stop this somehow, go ahead and say he does. Just know Alex has magic and adrenaline in his favor.

Polton sighed. Brutes, hm? I will bear the hypocrisy. He tapped his cane, and Dilsha began to hover slightly. Time to take you away.

The issue is that they both ran a fair distance from the building where Alex got knocked out, and there's a shroud of darkness or something. So he wouldn't see Polton or get to him that quickly.

My bad, ignore all of that. I'll be gone for a couple of hours too, so we'll just say Alex is still asleep.

Dilsha awoke, laying on the floor in a bright, empty room of stone. There was no pain in her head. She did not appear to be bound in any way, though she no longer had any weapons or tools of any sort. There were two simple chairs and a wooden door. Far above, light came in through a grate, the sun warm but not uncomfortable.

In one of the chairs, the man who had arrested her sat with his cane. It was not illuminated, and seemed to be made of solid, unadorned metal. "Please sit," he said calmly. "I would like to talk."

Is Sono nearby? Because she is literal evidence against Dilsha

Oh that's right, it was sono, not you.

Will managed to start moving again for the sake of the plot. He had completely lost the Barkeep.

"Are you still willing to help friend? I don't mean to pull you into business that isn't yours, but I am at a bit of a loss."

He turned to Larceny. "Are you alright, little one?"
