Dilsha pushed past him and out to the bar. groaning softly. She saw the prince there, and fought the urge to spin on her heel. "Can I help anyone?" She called to the now full room.

"Ah, yes! I would like to speak with you, I believe we've met!" He got up and moved towards her.

Will had to make sure she wasn't aware of his . . . secrets. If it got out, he was rotting ruined.

“Nice to meet you, Sono.” It wasn’t, but that was an easy lie.

Dilsha threw up her hands. “Sure! You’re a bouncer. Congratulations on your first job.”

Sono rolled her eyes, but wrote nothing.

Dilsha sighed, looking very tired. "And where would we have met? Uh. Your highness. Sir. Mister."

Sono came out of the kitchen, and then showed Dilsha a note that said, What about The Bouncer who was there?

"Let him be," Dilsha muttered. "Alex is...like that. Nothing anyone can do about it."

Dilsha frowned. Such terrible handwriting. Who taught her? Is that even...rot and decay, but I miss the palace. "You will let him be," she said sharply.

I wasn't going to hurt him. I wanted to know. The last word was written in colored ink, despite the pen Sono was using having black ink.

"Wilhelm, would be fine."

"Are you sure you haven't ever been to the palace? Or the capital? I want to say I've seen you the academy, not that I went there often."

Aww, such a good friend.

Alex stepped out of the back, then moved over to the door, attempting to look intimidating.

I think he's lying. I think he is. I can't tell from here.

The man with the cane watched her, waiting.

Dilsha blinked. She had wanted to know once. Wanted to know everything there was to know. She wouldn't have dreamed of hurting anyone. "Whoops," she muttered.

She glanced at the paper, then at Wilhelm. "Right. Uh. Nope. I'm from a small village, I just got here a few weeks ago, I'm running the inn and waiting for my parents to arrive and help me." Strangely enough, the last part doesn't seem to be a lie to Sono.

He tapped his cane against the ground, and the fiery lines sprung up upon it again. "Decayer."

Wilhelm, unfortunately was fairly good at spotting lies.

"I never forget a face," He said more quietly. "We could discuss this in a more private place of you wish."

If she's lying, she must be hiding something, Will thought to himself. If she knew about his condition, and was trying to escape with the information, he had to stop her.

Alex drew the knife across his palm, muttering a couple of words. Then he grabbed the strange man, holding his arms tight with inhuman strength and started dragging him towards the door.

Dilsha glanced at him. "We'll talk later. Prince."

What? Dilsha thought, shocked. I thought only the nobility...later. We'll deal with that later.

"Not a prince."

He glanced towards the man with the staff. "She is right to question you authority good sir, you are not one of the kings men, from what I can tell."

The flame grew hotter, then began to spread along the man's hands, to Alex's, and up his arms. The room filled with the scent of burning flesh.
