Dilsha raised an eyebrow. "If you harm me, my parents will destroy your pitiful excuse for a kingdom."

That's me, she sent. Ah, but it felt good to be in her own skin again, though the novelty of being a bar-keep had been nice.

Do you want the others to know? Or do you want me to keep it a secret?

I'm still not convinced I can trust you.

What could I do to earn your trust?

I don't think I need anything from you.

Please. I request something to do, at least.

"And if you just... went without contact?"

@Ookla the Believer

Dilsha snorted. "Do you think we're fools, Stranger? Just because your king is doesn't mean we all are."

Dilsha sighed softly. Tell them, she sent. They mean nothing to me. She shoved down a thought of Alex, a genuine friend...no. No. She had no room for friends.

"I believe, given that you've attacked this monarchy, you have already potentially incited a conflict. How to avoid it... Perhaps kill you outside of this kingdom, make it look like banditry?"

As if bandits could kill me. Ah, bother. Perhaps it's too late for me...but either way, I win. If I return home I will be a queen. And if I die...this country will fall either way. Those brats at the academy will finally know fear. Dilsha didn't react. "Your monarchy is weak and useless. They'll fall sooner or later. Don't you want to be on the winning side?"

"This isn't my monarchy. I'd simply rather there not be a war."

Why?

Because I am speechless and unable to do my job!  Sono wrote vigorously. I will tell everyone if you go and kill the child of Decay. Everyone will know.

You lie, child of Decay. And I cannot tell lies to others.

You give up, or go kill the Flametaken one.

You would so callously start a war?

Sono wanted to write that she wouldn't, but knew better than to lie. I would. So far, you've refused to do anything but dangle information in front of me and kidnap a person, while the child of Decay has at least shown some hospitality.

Fine. But I don't think it will do anything

she related the words to the Flametaken.

I warn you that Alex demands that you return his friend, and that if you don't he will hunt you for entering.

I never offered you information, I just said there might, potentially, be a way you fix your situation. And I did not kidnap, I arrested.

I apologize for the misunderstanding then. But I will say, you have not been the nicest to the child of Decay. And I have no reason to be nice to you

This has very little to do with 'niceness,' as you put it.

Just tell them who I am, Dilsha sent. They'll figure out what they need to.

Stop justifying yourself, Stranger. It's sickening.

I Have tried my best to help without direct intervention, but it appears some things need to happen in order to make any progress.

She wrote down the word Blind in Orange. Which would be activated moments later, when she flicked blood on it, causing it to send it's effects to the Flametaken one.

"You have yet to try to justify your actions. Neither the destruction of the palace nor your muting of this man."

It did not blind him. What was your goal, there?

A test, among other things. And I am not a man.
