S. Stormy she/her Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) So. No, this isn't about theories. This is about fate. So. Everyone, put a character who you are curious if they will die. I will input them into this website: https://pickerwheel.com/ And I will use the wheel to select four people. And these people will, undeniably, die in book 5. For sure. Foolproof. My person I'll input is Kaladin. Edited March 10, 2023 by Shallan Stormblessed 4
Potato's Wit she/her Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Everyone. (JK! {But not really...}) Dalinar. 2
S. Stormy she/her Posted March 11, 2023 Author Posted March 11, 2023 Okay, I got Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor, Syl, Dalinar(Dalinar again, but that didn't count), and then Kaladin. Oof. Poor Kaladin, Syl dies first? Horrible. 9 hours ago, Frustration said: Syl, probably. Here's the thing: Sanderson has made a sad habit of hurting Kaladin in some way in every book, and while I don't think it's becoming gratuitous, I believe that some people do. If Syl dies in this book, it'll rip Kaladin apart, potentially alienating readers. See chapter 104: Full of Hope () of Rhythm of War for evidence. Spoiler If Phendorana's death hurt Teft that much and he'd only bonded her for... a year or so? And Kaladin's bonded Syl for... I'm not sure. But way longer. If Syl dies, Kaladin will completely fall apart, in my opinion. 7

SirNoSell Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Dalinar...while he's gotten a lot better as a person, he's overdue for some justice. He's spent more time out of prison murdering and pillaging than Kaladin did helping and protecting innocents. With Book 5 being around justice, I feel like Dalinar is going to get his reckoning for you know...genocide. I feel like he's either going to be executed or get some Braize type treatment. 1
