"Come hither!" Fadran said, snapping his fingers. The clothes in the chest suddenly vanished, and were replaced with aprons and chef's hats. "We go to make soup!"

Rayvyn, not bothering to mention that she doesn’t know what soup is, grabs a hat and peers inside curiously.

Galard, who decided to go back to the kitchen to finish eating, raised his head to see the small group entering the room. He waved at Klave then resumed eating.

After Klave left, Lightning lay down and went to rest.

Klave puts on an apron and begins sharpening the kitchen knives. "First, we must prepare the ingredients."

Klave shook his head. "No, you can't use your own knives. You'll ruin the food. Here, use this one." He Rayvyn one of the kitchen knives he'd been sharpening.

Rayvyn takes the knife and grimaces. "This is not a good knife. Why must I use it?"

"It's for chopping, not stabbing." Fadran handed her some carrots. "Chop those into slices."

The carrots were sliced evenly almost before he finished talking.

Fadran blinked, then chuckled. "See? You can even use the skills you have already to help you learn new things! We should also chop up some sausage, onions, a mince a garlic clove."

Rayvyn frowned. "But why make the food small? Is not the point to be eating much food?"

"We're still putting in the same amount."

"What sort of soup is this?" asked Obsidian in a voice slightly louder than necessary.

Satisfied that Rayvyn could handle the chopping, Klave pulled a pot from the cabinets and began heating it on the stove. "What kind of meat do you think we should put in the soup?"
