The whole google doc has kind of scared me a bit so apologies in advance if I mess up the worldbuilding, but I think it could be fun to give it a try??

I can’t edit google docs as I’m on mobile and also don’t have a google account, but if I can join then here is my character:

Name: Ele’maiya

Race: Naiad

Age: Has the emotional maturity of about 18-20 human years (not sure how long naiad lifespans are)

Magic: healing magic (acts as a battlefield healer-type thing), specialising in supernatural ailments

Abilities: Can fight competently if the circumstances require, but is more comfortable healing on the battlefield. Wields a spear with a neranite tip, but prefers not to use it because it carries memories (hehe backstory time)

Personality: Quietly fierce and intense but hides it well, outwardly appears to be calm and docile

Backstory: I promise there will be something here when I think of it…

Other: uh… she plays a lot of instruments

Description: 4’9”, tan skin, long brown wavy hair with streaks of blue in it, usually wears a simple light blue dress

I might add some art if/when I have time

Atren stared up at the Inverted Mountain's slopes. It looked... wrong. But perhaps that was the point. Either way, no point in wasting time.

He strode confidently towards the foot of the mountain, ready to begin his climb.

Death did not stand above their Reapers. They did not stand beneath. Or above or around. They weren’t “there,” per say, but their presence wrapped all about the mountain and across the dozens of students waiting patiently - no… impatiently - for the cue to begin.    

The Inverted Mountain was, as its name suggested, no ordinary peak. Its shape was still roughly triangular, shooting up steeply into the sky. But rather than a rough amalgamation of stone surfaces surrounding the deep innerworkings of the peak, it was as though the caves of sharp stalags and crystal lattices had dragged themselves from the inside out. The interior was, in a sense, the exterior here. Every vein of ore, crystal, mineral, and stone sat alone in the outside, warped and jagged without the rest of the mountain to surround it. In the moonlight it looked almost like a giant bush, complete with bristles and thorns.

Exactly fifty of their students had completed the five-year training regimen, each now well-accustomed to combat and magic. Now only one final hurdle stood in their way: the mountain atop which the Veins of White Iron grew.

The sun finally fell beneath the horizon.

“You may begin,” Death said.

Everyone's spread around the foot of the mountain, so they're thin enough that nobody starts right beside each other. There's nothing in the rules against finding other people though.

Il'anque sized up the mountain before her. Sparkling veins of crystal and metal grew upwards here, winding up like vines. This was the final test - to get to the top and claim the White Iron, the metal of the soul. Scimitars, check. Bloomsilk, check. Time to finish this.
