@Ink and Embers thought Wax was dead. We've known for over a decade now that Wit is basically immortal, and next to nothing could kill him, so I considered that one well established. I actually bought Kelsier's death, that one felt right to me. I only listed the number of real deaths to show the ratio. When it's almost a 1:1 real to fake, there's a problem.

The dor only needs to be stripped of Intent for someone without a Connection to it to be able to use it. An Elantrian would be just fine without it, but an allomancer would not be able to use it.
