She shook her head, standing up. Whatever it was, it was most likely accessible from somewhere above. She glanced at the building directly above the light, trying to identify its purpose. 

The building above appeared small compared to the others around it. More of the size of a house one might find on the countryside.

"Everyone should get some sleep," Elya announced, pulling the curtains over some windows. "Three beds: first come first serve. I also have spare mattresses and bedrolls and such."

"I'm fine with the floor. Just point me to the bedrolls and I'll be good."

Elya grabbed a pole to shove open a door in the ceiling, pulling down a ladder. "They're up there with the mattresses."

"WOAAHHH. How'd I miss that earlier when I was exploring the whole place?? THAT'S SO EPIC!!!!!!!" Lyanor eagerly clambered up the ladder, poked and prodded her way through the entire attic, then grabbed a bedroll (from right beside the ladder; they were the first things she saw) and brought it back down. She spread it across the floor of the front room, then plopped down on it, immediately closing her eyes and pretending to be asleep.

Ji looked up from his soup, then placed it down on the counter beside him. He quickly snatched up his clothes, and collapsed on the couch, breathing out a sigh. He didn't even bother trying to find a blanket or pillow, as he already began to drift off.

"Are you going to be okay?" Elya asked him quietly before he fell asleep.

Viator sat up with a groan. A pain shot through his side. He doubled over, and saw that he was sitting on a hard cobbled road of a lower street.

“Ah…” he hissed as he lifted up his shirt. On his side was large bruise. “That… hurt... a lot.”

He stood up and looked around to see that the sky had darkened considerably.

“How long was I out for?” He looked around, and realized that he had gotten lucky that none of the Pacis had found him, or been notified of a stranger falling from the sky.

“I have to keep moving.” Viator mumbled, and shuffled down the street deeper into the darkness.

John watched as everyone negan to drift away, hoping silently that they had forgotten about him. Leaning back in his seat John closed his eyes and began to think. Electricity could be an effective weapon, but how to use it?

Of course they couldn't catch a break.

"Well... for now, get some sleep. We'll talk about it tomorrow." Elya moved to the master bedroom--if no one else was taking it, then she might as well.

"You better sleep, too," he said before she left, winking an eye open.

Ji closed his eyes again, letting himself be overtaken by a almost dreamless sleep.

Viator had trudged through the lower streets for a while, and it was now well into the dead of night.

He was on one of the nicer streets. The lamps that ringed the sidewalk cast a gentle glow on the street, causing his shadow to stretch and change shape with every step.

“I can’t keep this up,” he whispered to himself. “I’m hurt, tired, and lost. I’ll find a place to hide and sleep for now, and I’ll escape this confusing city tomorrow.”

He shuffled towards one of the apartments lining the street, and found a space in between the building and a large bush. He squeezed his way through the tight brambles, and unrolled his sleeping mat and bag. He listen to the stillness of the night as he looked up at the glittering stars. The quiet was only interrupted by a few leaves shaking in the wind, and the occasional dog barking off in the distance. He slowly drifted off to sleep.

Usually skipping an indefinite amount of time, like the hours of sleeping or traveling from one place to another.

In other words, we don't want to rp every single second, thus using what we call "time skips" to not do the mostly boring stuff and get on with the plot.

John waited until everyone else had gone to sleep before he stood up. He looked around carefully, all quiet. Grabbing the money he had taken from the Pacis, John opened the door and slipped out into the night.
