Elya wrapped bandages around herself, tightly binding each of the wounds. She had to pick and choose, as she didn't quite have enough to cover all of them. With small grunts and shaky breaths through grit teeth, Elya eventually managed to get the worst of the wounds bandaged. Blood still soaked through several of them, staining the bandages red--but for the time being, it was the best she could do.

It was tedious, and hurt like hell--but all that was just physical pain. With everyone in to safety and a moment to rest at hand, she could make herself deal with that.

What hurt a thousand times more, though, was listening to Ji cry.

So is it the number of abilities or the strength of them?

A mix of both.

I don't want to sound hypocritical, because I know and remember typing out that it's technically possible for a Mystic to have two or more powers and that I clarified that if you were to do that, their powers would be weaker. However, with you making him """"""immortal""""" using loosely ("He will heal slightly faster than normal, but not to a noticeable amount") is kinda giving me Mary Sue/Gary Stu red flags; not to mention committing things to memory forever *ahem* more Mary Sue/Gary Stu red flags. two for two, baby *ahem*. Also, I didn't see anything Space related when describing the powers??

My inner DM sort of emphasis on "sort of" wants to go with it, except with these rules: Your character can be stressed as h E C K––like, on the point of a mental breakdown right in front of everybody––but the time would only slow for two seconds or less. He can remember stuff crisp and clear as if he were living through it again, but only at a certain time on a certain day, like 3:57 PM on Tuesdays. He can heal faster than normal, but it's only when he's completely calm and not in any immediate danger.

But my author side that made this world, the rules, and magic and is not a DM says... well, no. I literally wrote in the Zvso doc, and I quote: "I do not want someone to mash all the Mystic categories together with an ultimate 'you-win-the-game-and-everyone-goes-home-happy' character" (Syn, 2021). You might argue that it's not all of the categories, but hol' up a sec: What you got is literally over half of the categories in one dude; that's three Mary Sue/Gary Stu red flags. It's kind of my common author sense just screaming at me that it's overpowered and won't work in this world, let alone this rp.

My original idea with having two and maybe more powers in one Mystic was that it created a whole new power that just doesn't fit under one category. I dunno if you've been reading, but Ji falls under both the Transporter and Discord categories, but he doesn't have two powers; rather, he has something new and different that doesn't just fall under one category. Maybe, if you were to come up with something that doesn't fall under one category, but of a few, then I would most likely allow it depending on how strong you make the character; though, I've been allow just about every character in.

I suggest that if you want to have a Mystic that has more than one category, then make a new power that involves more than one category. I will say, though, that I do like the idea of the Foreseer where if he's stressed, time does its thang but with maybe the rules I mentioned earlier >.>.

Now, please don't view me as a person that wants to take everything away from you and I really do want you to have your fun, because I do want you to have fun in here with your own character and want you to do basically whatever the heck you want within reason, but I'm also thinking about others and how it will affect their rping experience. If you have a character that can basically do anything because they have a crap ton of powers that covers basically everything you need, then that will drive people away and find that they're not needed in the rp and just leave, and we don't want that hopefully; dunno how you're with with other people.

Sorry for the lengthy response.

Don't feel like you are being overbearing I struggle a lot with powergaming. So having something like this is nice. I'll try to explain what I'm going for here.

The healing isn't neccesary it's more of a way to keep John healthy, of all the ones to drop I'd pick this one.

On Time dialation, it is directly proportional to stress levels, so at highest i.e. see something moving fast in prehephrial vison "Move now or die" he'd be at most 1.5-2 times normal, and only for the time normal person would move on instinct alone. If he can think at all, we're only talking 1.1 times speed.

Memory I always saw as a contious thing, he would choose to commit something to memory and then never forget, but if he doesn't commit to memory it's normal, which is there exclusivly for character reasons, which I can go into more if you want.

Is that still too much?

Mmm, I think it'll be fine, though something is a bit off to me and I dunno what. Like, the Time whatever is fine, I'm just not sure about mixing it with Remembrance and I'm not sure why. I might have to sleep on it, because just coming off of math to this is a trip, to be sure.

Well if you find out what it is let me know.

I'll avoid mentioning abilities for now.

John looked up from his spot on the alley floor, looking at where the kids had disappeared. A few of the had looked injured, he wished he had gotten up to talk to them while they were still on the ground. Fortunetly it was nighttime, and he knew one way to get a child's attention.

John opened up his bag and pulled out his portable grill. It wasn't anything to be proud of, just a folding iron rack above a burner small enough to keep in his bag, but it would do. Hocking up the small can of propane, he lit the flame, and soon the smell of cooking steak rose into the cool night air.

"I'm John, nice to meet you." He said extending his hand.

Saaphir noticed John starting up his grill, and his stomach growled. “Hey John.” Saaphir called. “I’ll trade ya a small knife for three of those steaks, if you have enough.” He pulled out a knife he’d grabbed off a Pacis a few weeks ago. He liked the knife, but he rarely used it. Besides, he was starving, and was just too tired to go scavenge for food right now.

"Saaphir, I thought I saw you. How about you wait until these are done and I'll come up and bring you some? Looks like some of your friends could use them."

Time for a  m o n t a g e

Ji wiped his eyes, embarrassment flooding him. He was acting like a child. He shouldn’t be this way. He just needed to suck it up and deal with it and not cry over meaningless things like this. He was needed and can actually do something.

He sat up in the hammock, it swaying a bit and causing a little panic to arise in him for a second before dying down. Ji looked at his blood-crusted hands and rubbed them together, little flakes of red flittering off. He was going to have to fix that… well, there was a lot of things he had to fix, but this one was one of the most important. He reached out and grabbed the rope, swinging himself on to climb down, but Ji quickly glanced at Elya for a second. That feeling of warmth came again, almost to the point of him smiling and forgetting––

No, he stopped himself, forcing himself to climb down. Stop acting like a kid.

Ji let himself fall the last few feet, his feet pounding on the ground as he rose and stuffed his hands in his bloodied hoodie. He walked over to where he saw the rest of the group go, his usual frown coming back.

“We need to get bandages,” he said, completely ignoring the new people. “I have a contact that can hook us up, and is that food you’re cooking?”

Oh, and Frustration: As I am a wiser person from the four hours of sleep I got, I was thinking about your powers and have a suggestion, and you can either take or leave it. My suggestion was when he was stressed, time does its thing as usual, but I was also thinking that when everything slows down, your character has the chance of seeing memories of the place he’s at (e.g., say he’s in an apartment building that used to be a church, then he would have the chance to see “memories” of people going and doing church stuff).

That’s just a suggestion.

Trying to make sure I’m on the same page as you, but what do you mean or what are you talking about? Like, do memories of high levels of stress are perfect, are you talking about my suggestion, etc..

His scowl grew deeper. “I didn’t ask for your opinion on that,” he said.
