  1. I would use the power of cultivation to increase their size, until they were as big as Labradors. Give them sentience and magic then watch the world go to war. Because I would find that amusing.
  2. I'm going to say I would want Odium. I would then splinter myself and put a splinter into everyone then watch ( If I was able to survive the splintering ) as they all went on a killing spree. Or cultivation, do the same but with ants.
  3. If the Mists can't go inside then it makes sense that Stormlight can't.
  4. Not till you said something, and now I can't unsee it either.
  5. What if the Dawnshards are Shardplates that are powered by the Soulcasters( this could be where they got the Soulcasters), if the spren like Syl are able to inhabit the Shardplate and only through the glyphs are they able to do magic? Makes it sort of more like ironman armour, because that sh*t is awesome. Assuming that this is correct, the spren would be in a gemstone ( like the one that Kaladin got, perhaps this is why nothing happened with that stone. Perhaps this is what Sigzil does.) and so would be able to have a storage of Stormlight and if the Knight didn't want the Plate on then the spren could store it in the cognitive or the spiritual realm. Or the Dawnshards could be the Aminians??, and they are of Cultivation. So the Aimians??, use a magic system which is the same as the Fabrial system except that they are the Fabrials. Which would make Shardplate something that was made in imitation of the Aimians. But was mechanical? and instead of using random spren, they used the bond spren because Ishi made them. So when the Knights quit the reason they killed their spren was so that the ones that survived wouldn't help in the next desolation. They also then split their Shardplate into the two components to make them fairly useless. Thoughts on my random theory?
  6. I think that shardplate is made from aluminum that is backed by a fabrial. Perhaps the fabrial has got two different spren in it. They aren't trapped but they do reside there. It's not a full entrapment because the spren is able to bond with the user using glyphwards. This allows the spren to gain some little amount of sentience so they are smart enough to be able to hold stormlight and use that for their own purposes, like heal it and to transport to the cognitive at the knights direction. I think that this is Cultivations magic system and it is a system that any person who can hold stormlight can use. so this is primarily what the Squires used. I think the spren that were used were the ones that were attracted to the surges, the spren that Kaladin sees when he lashes something? This is one of the only ways I can see the Knight's Spren be O.K with them being used. Because at least this way they are getting something from the bond.
  7. Improbable, stormlight resurrection is only possible before the brain dies. Heleran would have sat on the battlefield for a long time surrounded by people who would have noticed if he was taken away. Also Amaran would have noticed if his would-be assassin was missing.
  8. Isn't there WoB that the mists are comparable to stormlight? If they are and the effects of using stormlight is comparable to how Vin was at the end then Marsh stomps every time. Because you know Vin casually exploded a palace. A PALACE.
  9. Is it possible to fuel allomancy with stormlight? Because if she is vin and it is possible to fuel allomancy with stormlight, how powerful would vin be?
  10. But not impossible. Remember that he likes to trick us with half answers.
  11. I read a WoB that states that drabs have no innate investiture, so it appears that I'm wrong about the Breath being extra investiture on top of the investiture needed for sentience. Not sure where that leaves my little theory...
  12. No, it doesn't. Some investiture is required for sentience. We know this because of how preservation had to sacrifice a little bit of his power to make each and every person sentient, in mistborn. I'm assuming that the Breath they get is extra, on top of what they have to sentient.
  13. Compared to Talenel’Elin, Kaladin is pretty whiny. The worst thing that happens to him is that he gets a bit of a burn, and indirectly causes the death of a couple of people then goes to nearly commit suicide. IMO that makes him kind of pathetic. Whereas Talenel’Elin survives a good 4500 years of continuous torture, knowing, I might add. that he is one a few things keeping the human race from near certain death. Not sure if he knows that he is doing it solo, but from reading the book I don't think he does.
  14. But they all come from endowment, I'm assuming the breaths are extra investiture on top of the investiture required to create sentience. Otherwise drabs would effectively be mistwraiths, requiring at least 1 Breath to make them sentient again, instead of a spike. If that's the case then, if you get enough regular breaths they sort of... make?... a divine breath?
  15. If you were going to use soulcasting as a weapon then bugger the people, target the environment. Oh, I see you running towards me little voidbringer, how about I turn the ground you are running on to HCl.
  16. It could be that so much Breath was used in its creation, that the Breaths combined to have the effect of a divine breath.
  17. Steel inquisitor compounds speed, both mental and physical, plus health and strength then runs, as fast as he can so about anywhere from 100-300km/h because he heals the friction damage, punches windrunner in the face, windrunner's face explodes, windrunner dies. If you think that the windrunners ability to lash is an advantage, know that all the steel inquisitor has to do is wait for the stormlight to run out or for him to be in reach then run in and punch him in the face. Radiant powers are stronger I'll give them that but compounded feruchemy lasts far longer, Kaladin blows through so much stormlight so quickly. Surgebinding is the most hungry of the magic systems seen so far.
  18. Assuming that a worldhopper knew that it was possible to become a cognitive shadow and that they knew how to do it. Could they, when they die, arrange for their body to be soulcast into diamond, go to Nalthis and pick up enough breaths to awaken their body. If they did that would it be possible for them to posses their Awakened body? Because if you give an inanimate object enough investiture it becomes sentient. Could you just put your sentience into the inanimate object instead of it developing its own?
  19. Perhaps Odium's magic system, voidbinding, is similar to Ruin's in that it is not consensual, you don't choose to be affected, but the user's have that ability to dominate the victim.
  20. The blade he had wasn't Taln's. It was a normal shardblade.
