  1. Well I wanted her to give me her bacon but the stingy bugger didn't want to. I had to resort to the old fashioned way of winning an argument ( I jumped on her and wrangled her to the ground when she rolled into my knife and stabbed her self in the heart. Thanks for telling me about my abysmal spelling will fix it later, probably.
  2. Perhaps luck in the Cosmere is similar to Electrum shadows, in that when storing Luck it's not the luck itself they store but the possible futures that have more positive endings. Understand? So when Tapping Luck it works the other way, they remove the more negative outcomes. All it does is increases the probability of you being happy. Don't worry if you don't understand very little do. Tell me and I'll try and translate.
  3. @ maxel. I too agree that Adolin is going to become a Dustbringer and I cannot wait. Think how awesome he will be with Stormlight at his disposal. Without it ( yes he has Shardplate but that isn't as good as Sormlight in regards to physical enhancements ) he could still manage two skilled full Shardbearers at the same. Whilst in damaged Plate.
  4. Which Koloss are we talking? TFE, HoA, or AoL. The difference between them being intelligence. Forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't sazed and vin both note that the Koloss we're becoming more intelligent and independent after The Lord Ruler was killed e.g Human. As for the Koloss in AoL, they were basically just very strong and fast humans. This needs to be considered. As well as the context of the situation. E.g are the Koloss prepared or taken by surprise.
  5. @ Seloun: "but she could likely at least e.g keep kaladin's personal lashings if he runs out of Stormlight at am inopportune time. This would be a huge advantage. Because if they didn't need to worry about managing the personal Lashings and could just fight, they would be more effective fighters.
  6. I think what she is doing is quite intelligent. She is not freeing them, she is letting them free themselves. The way she is doing that is doing that, is by giving them a job that through her, all things going to plan ( she could of course fail, be killed and then they are chainsawed) they could have job that they will have for the rest of their lives.
  7. I have won an argument with a wild pig before, so I guess a pig. Maybe a Labrador sized dog.
  8. Really? Where is that mentioned? I have been kicking around an idea for an Awakener to do. My thought was what would happen if they made a statue from wood then got it Soulcast into diamond and Awakened it the same way that Nightblood was. Then used Hemalurgy to Spike someone's Identity into it. What would happen? Is it possible to do? Because that would be an awesome side character to read about.
  9. What if you Awakened The Lord ruler. Using what ever technique Vasher and Shashara? (Is that her name? ) used?
  10. If this is ever confirmed, what do you think the ramifications would be? Would a creature be formed existing only in the Cognitive and Spiritual realm, or does there need to be a Physical aspect?
  11. Lol, Sherlock is in my top 5 of favourite T.V shows.
  12. But with Hemalurgy you have all of those powers. Also what do you lot think would be the most OP combo on earth?
  13. I went Scadrial/Nalthis. Scadrial for Hemalurgy, because see that power, yeah sorry thats mine now. Nalthis for immortality via the Heightening's. Plus i could make my own version of Shardplate and Blade.
  14. I have been kicking a theory around in my head that the Dawnsingers were the Aiminians and that the Dawnshards were the ancient Shardplate. I have started to think, with no real evidence, that the reason they were so much more powerful back in the day was because they were a combination of Shardplate and Soulcaster and that is why the Soulcasters are the only Fabrials to survive in large quantities. I have also started to think, again no real evidence, that the reason the ancient Fabrials were so different is because they didn't need a Spren to be trapped in a gem they instead voluntarily entered the gem and benefited by gaining a small amount of intelligence, similar to the bond the Parshendi have with Spren.
  15. Maybe the squires are the ones that made the most out of the old school Fabrials? and that is why they were fundamentally different, because the squire had the ability to hold Stormlight so was able to entice the Spren that cause/are attracted to, the use of the surge, meaning that they didn't have to trap a Spren they just needed them to be around. My next question is why were the Soulcaster Fabrials the only ones to survive? Why not the Regrowth Fabrials? Or any of the other ones.
  16. Just to revive a dead topic... If an awakener can give sentience to a chunk of metal by giving it some breath then it should be possible to give sentience to an animal with breath. ( by sentience I mean human level intelligence ) But the real question is if you can give an animal breath do they gain the different Heightening's? Would they gain life sense and perfect pitch? ( plus all the other benefits )
  17. The Feruchemists need not waste time with such a restrictive code. They are far more.. balanced.
  18. Assuming that the Shardholders were involved in the shattering of Adonalsium, then it could be that they didn't know that Odium was going to happen. Rayse could have caused it to form without the others knowing about it so now it exists but without a Shard that can balance it.
  19. A Feruchemist can only store a positive not a negative. For example they store heat not cold, Strength not weakness, Sight not blindness. Using this as a pattern I think that a Feruchemist stores life in all its aspects, e.g youth, health, investiture, identity, memory. So no I don't think it is possible to store death because it is a lack of life rather than a presence of death. Understand?
  20. Though if it was a fight between a Dalinar, who has spoken all of his ideals, or Kelsier, then I'm afraid that Dalinar would completely destroy him. Because having access to a Weapon that can kill with one hit, Stormlight that heals and improves all of the Surgebinders physical attributes, plus Shardplate... There is very little in the cosmere ( not including those on Roshar ) that could take a full Surgebinder 1v1. Except a Mistborn/Furechemist or possibly the Godking. ( and Hoid, obviously )
