  1. Apologies for an actual double post. Mark, I don't think you ever told me. Did you ever tell Twei about how she scanned? I'm presuming not, because she didn't know what cycle that was, but it'd be nice to have confirmation if you get back before turnover. That's one large point in her favor, that she claimed the exact thing I got in the note.
  2. Well, I mean, the only way I could be an eliminator with the game still running is if I were lying about being a Strongarm. That's literally the only way. Otherwise I would take this lynch (probably on Twei, because she can protect herself), and kill you during the night. There isn't any way to avoid that. So the game wouldn't still be running. See you later! Right, two hours to decide whether I'm going to trust my earlier intuition or switch to lynching Twei. It's entirely up to me now, which is a bit scary. I decide the fate of this game. ...Storm it. I've got no idea.
  3. I already used it on you, actually. That's a point in my favor I hadn't actually thought of. If I were the Eliminator, the game would already be over because my ability ensures I can't lose the lynch, only tie, and then I would kill during the night (or the next however many nights, if necessary) and the game would be over. You're almost making me trust you. Almost.
  4. I wanted to say earlier, but I didn't have time (I wrote that last post during passing period between classes): Water, you're also assuming that we don't manage to protect from the Eliminator kills. We might not, but you should be aware of that assumption. Thus, waiting to lynch Ada could potentially be beneficial (if he's evil) because it provides more time to protect from an Eliminator kill.
  5. I have certainly thought that you might be evil and just laughing to yourself as Mark and I attack each other. But I think you'd have come down on one side or the other a lot more quickly if you were an Eliminator. That post is awkward, certainly. I was trying to say what I wanted to say while still staying in character, which is particularly difficult this game because my character would not fare well in an SE game in general. Usually I would have been more like 'What just happened?' and leaft it at that. I sincerely hope I'm right about you. If I'm not, I'm dead.
  6. Oh, sorry about that. I meant to place a vote, but I forgot to by the end of the post, at which point I really just needed to go to bed and wasn't thinking about anything else. I promise to vote this cycle, though. But... how are we supposed to have confirmation on who he PMed? We only have his own word for it. Unless someone with Observant has been watching him the whole time, I don’t see how there’s a way to tell. Okay. So there isn’t a way to distinguish. Ah well. How does the same logic apply? Clanky's saying that we need to kill a diferent eliminator first even if he's one, right? Because then we'll have a buffer and be able to have a mislynch.
  7. First of the Twilight, free of the threat of death by mind seeking predators, walked abroad in the full daylight, far from her home, for the first time since she’d come to the island. While sneaking about at night was all very well, she’d missed the sheer color of daytime. For that moment, it didn’t matter that she was alone in a jungle apparently determined to murder even more than usual, by natural means or by bringing death through other trappers. It didn’t matter that she still had a hold on her new bird by the narrowest of margins, and still had to treat it so carefully that it was like caring for a month-old baby in the middle of a jungle that ate humans. It was a fine day, and she was just very happy to be alive. She was also very worried about new threats to her home, though. There’d been recent marks near it when she’d checked last night, human made marks. Her carefully laid traps were all fine, too. What would happen if she lost her home? But all thought of losing her home went straight out of her head when she was suddenly attacked by-- Come back this time tomorrow to see the next thrilling installment in the series Twilight and the Jungle! ...I’m going to bed. And I’m probably going to regret that RP ending in the morning.
  8. Big post incoming! RP will be later tonight. EDIT: Oops. Um... You only gave one reason. I get this feeling that you were somewhat sidetracked. If the list you’re referring to is the list of people who have power sensing, did I miss that? I don’t remember him ever claiming Power Sensing. Or do you mean something else? This isn’t entirely clear. As Clanky pointed out, how are those villagers he’s contacted confirmed? There’s no way to prove that he sent in a different action and just pretended he’d PMed a teammate. Okay, so you were roleblocked. Were you told explicitly “You have been targeted by a Beautiful Aviar” or something along those lines, or just “Your action didn’t succeed”? Because I’m trying to figure out if I could have been roleblocked, or if I just targeted people who were Hidden/Mind Forced. I don’t get any kind of self-deprecating vibe at all. It sounds pretty normal for Ada to me: over the top and a bit overconfident. But seriously, if anything that post decreased my suspicion of him. This is much more like him than any of the previous cycles. And if he were an eliminator, I feel that he would have made more of an effort to post and not lay low for the first cycles, given that he prides himself so much on acting exactly the same as an Eliminator. No, he’s not a tempting target for the eliminators at all, if you’re good. By his own argument, if you’re not an eliminator, he is. He’s basically painting a target on his back for tomorrow’s lynch. The eliminators don’t need to kill him. We’ll do that ourselves. That’s actually another reason I trust him. His post is basically trying to trade your life for his. If he were an eliminator, he probably wouldn’t sacrifice himself like that just to kill one Villager. And this in turn makes me inclined to trust you. I think an Eliminator would try to fight back against his accusers, but instead you’re pursuing your own suspicions and telling us who you suspected before you died and turned out to be innocent (if you are actually innocent and not just a very good eliminator).
  9. None, except that you also didn't know who Mark was planning to scan, and would presumably have assumed that I was getting scanned because you suggested it and no one contested it. That clears you a little more. Not much, but a little. We were all talking to each other at the same time, so Mark made a PM with all three of us just "so it'll be easier", basically. He didn't actually say that much, although he was the one who asked Alv whether the idea would work (which it didn't, so we had to change it a bit). Okay.... I'm not entirely sure what to think of that, but I suppose it doesn't matter all that much.
  10. Good question. My reasoning was as follows: I was informed that I couldn't send Duct Tape to two different people at once. So I had to keep one piece, and give the other to someone else. I didn't want to give it to Mark, because he could prove he made an action with his note. So it was either you or Araris. While I did definitely trust you more, I chose to send the Duct Tape to Araris, mainly because he was much more active and available to figure out what we should be doing than you. He could adapt to a changing plan, while I wasn't sure you'd even be on at all. And also, if I gave you the duct tape, you'd have to use that instead of your power, when as we worked it out, you could potentially use it. Who did you protect, by the way?
  11. Well. One: storm it. Two: Mark. Okay, so my reasoning for that is as follows: First off, no one is confirmed as good. I used the duct tape on Araris and Mark sent him the note. But Twei didn't really know what was happening, because most of it happened in our PM without her. As far as she knew, she was getting roleblocked (thank you, Araris). If she were an eliminator, she might not have even bothered to send the order in. And I would guess she'd have placed the order on Mark, since he's a Snitch and therefore the most dangerous to her. Although Araris does make sense too, with his mysterious killing powers. But Mark knew exactly who to kill in order to not confirm anybody, because he was privy to our plans. There's also Mark's insistence on scanning me and sending it to Araris, even after Twei and I both suggested the other way around. He completely ignored the fact that I was likely a Compulsive Liar and had already been scanned, when neither were necessarily true for Araris. Twei, you definitely need to vote this cycle, or we lose. No way around that. I don't have any duct tape left (I gave it to Araris, who then had the temerity to go die on me). Mark actually has the components to a ray gun, though that's a moot point by now. Other thoughts: Mark, really? Again? I might just write up a betrayal RP for fun, even though I have basically no character this game. If you turn out to not be Blind, I'm going to laugh my head off. I got into the airport at effectively one in the morning to find this. I was very unhappy for about half an hour. Then I realized something. Meta was storming right. On the first cycle. Wh-how-what? So now I'm in a much happier mood, because that's just hilarious. Okay, don't expect much of me until just before this time tomorrow, because I need to catch up on LG17 pretty badly, and probably MR11 as well to a lesser extent. Night for now!
  12. That would make sense if you could tell me any kind of reason why they'd choose to kill Stink in the first place. I can't think of any, which is why I asked.EDIT: Ooh, 1000 posts!
  13. Yes you are. There was basically nothing but Soothers and Smokers, with one Seeker and one Rioter. That's it. That certainly made it interesting (although also quite long, because only two deaths per cycle rather than three or more).
  14. So, I think I was roleblocked. Because I put in two Aviar actions, and neither went through. Has anyone else been roleblocked, and told specifically that you were? Because it’s possible I hit people who were Hidden/Mind Forced, just by sheer chance. Also, I’m a bit confused why the Traders killed Stink. Now PK is proven, and likely to have protection for the rest of the game. How is that helpful? Now Kynedath’s death won’t prove anything, though, so he could probably be taken off the “don’t protect” list, Lopen. I like the plan, though. No, that's the opposite of what's happening. The idea is to get the most repercussions for the Eliminators, regardless of who they target. This way hopefully there's much more chance of no eliminator kill or finding out who an eliminator is.
  15. First of the Twilight winced at the height of the stars as soon as she opened the door to her home. The night was well on, it seemed. She’d slept in. Well, it didn’t matter. She couldn’t do anything about that now. She’d just to have to make do with the amount of night she had left. After carefully checking around to make sure nothing had been disturbed, First of the Twilight set out from home with Imi and the new bird, who she hadn’t found a very good name for yet. In the meantime, it was Bluie. Very unsatisfactory, but it would be fine for a label at the moment. She went on a fairly easy walk, without a relatively low threat level. There was barely even a threat of outright death, for instance, though dismemberment was still possible if she didn’t walk carefully. Throughout it all, she was completely fine. As a final test, she went near a particular tree, which she knew to be festooned with mind-sensing vines, usually enough of a threat that she had to detour around it. It didn’t even twitch. She grinned triumphantly. I’ve got a Mind Shield Aviar now! This is great! Now it didn’t matter if she went out during the daytime, when most of the mind-sensing predators were active. She was much less close to death now then she’d ever been before. She came back to her home a short while later, still exhilarated. She maintained the cages for her various Aviar for a while, and then went to bed. She deserved an early night, after that find. Sorry for no more analysis tonight. I don’t have anything to say about what’s happened since I last posted, and I’ve been immersed in dealing with LG16, so don’t expect quite as much of me until that’s over. Also, I’ll be travelling tomorrow afternoon, so I should be on once more in about ten hours, and then probably nothing for the rest of the day. Apologies.
  16. Okay, so unfortunately I can only give items to one person at a time, which is irritating (and I would have found out earlier, except my internet is stupid so the order didn't go through). I gave the duct tape to Araris, because he's a good deal more active than Twei. So what should happen is that Araris puts the duct tape on Twei, which hopefully Twei will be able to confirm. Thus we know Araris used an action, and Twei could not have. Mark targets someone (doesn't really matter who), so we know he put in an action if we get a note. The only person unconfirmed is me, if I get both components to the raygun and build it. If I only get one component (I haven't heard back yet), then I'll put my duct tape on Araris, and everyone will be confirmed for an action or the inability to make one. Either we stop the eliminator kill and have another chance at the lynch, or we can figure out who's the wrong link in the chain based on the mess that happens.
