  1. While I haven't technically played a game with him, I did see a lot of Meta's playstyle in QF11, which I helped GM. I don't think he's being particularly aggressive, but it did surprise me that it happened so fast. My second paragraph makes you think I'm evil? You mean this one? I'm uncertain how you could have gotten to either guess (that I'm evil or an important Villager) from that. Seriously, why do you think that? Yes, it's sympathy. Not because he's new, really, but because he's had the misfortune to go up against you in his first game with you. That deserves sympathy from anyone.Although I guess I'm kind of setting myself up for the same thing... I guess I didn't think this through properly. As usual. And the reason I'm saying targeting someone else might have been better is precisely because you're experienced. In general, you know what's normal for people and what's not. But instead, you picked someone relatively unknown, which kind of wastes that useful aspect. Obviously, if you did that all the time you wouldn't ever catch a new suspicious player. But even so, I feel like new players should be given a chance until they accrue a little bit more suspicion than recurring players. With that said, I'd rather not lose you on the first cycle, regardless of alignment, because you are very active, which is good. So Meta.
  2. Meta, you're being kind of harsh on someone who's only played one game so far. He's saying fairly normal things, and you're tying him in knots for it. Why him? There are plenty of other people who've said similar things. I didn't post earlier because I wanted to wait until I could talk calmly. I am not fond of dying.
  3. Meta, excellent writeup. Unfortunate for the villagers, but great all the same. I... I believe I'm going to agree with Hero on this one. Maill.
  4. Not a problem. And I will admit that one of the advantages to what I'm doing is that I can be an eliminator more easily, because my playstyle is deliberately changed (covering up any smaller changes that may happen because of changed alignment), and I already have a tone in mind. So watch all you like. Someone (Arrenae, I think?) asked last cycle, "What if Adavantos isn't a matter disruptor?". I doubt it, because Invisibility exists. It's a bit dangerous to claim falsely this game, particularly so publicly. So, I'm assuming Adavantos is really a MD. That makes me think he's an Epic, actually, because he believed there was only one MD in the game. If he were a Reckoner MD, I think he would have thought that there might be more MDs, which is how it has turned out. So I trust Adavantos. So there are two MDs. Do we think they're both good, or that one is evil? I would guess one evil, except that there was only MD kill last cycle, which Adavantos claimed, and I think he's good. Let's not talk about AG2, please? Just because you're dead, Adavantos, doesn't mean it's not still going on. Personally, I had no idea that that happened before you said that. So... just be careful, please?Who has a vote tally from last time? Obviously there were some changes there. EDIT: Fixed color, ninja'd by Clanky.
  5. It's up. I left it open so that we can go in a romantic direction if you like, or not. I don't care, except that if either of us turns out to be a traitor there's more betrayal and hurt.
  6. Oops. I'll edit that into this post when I've finished it. May take a bit, though, since I'm also currently playing dominoes with family.EDIT: El walked wearily back to Four's little home. Her arms were tired from pounding all day; she'd never had to mix all day before. Usually there were other tasks as well, but today all she had done was mix and pound. She waved up at Four, who was peering down at her. She climbed slowly, because of her weak arms, but she managed to reach the top, where Four helped pull her up. She wasn't even tired, given her late waking today, so she sat beside him and asked, "How was your day?"
  7. Well, the immediate thought would be that you knew that he had a Lurcher as well, and so couldn't kill him.I wish I'd been able to get on before turnover, but I decided to post on QF12 first, forgetting that there was turnover tonight. At this point, we can't have any ties. We've already had too many. And the Eliminators keep killing, even if we tie. Storm it. Not much to say other than that, though.
  8. My post didn't actually post, for no apparent reason, so I'll summarize. Sorry for not posting before turnover- I slept through my alarm, even though it was for 2:30 PM. I was very tired. Since then I've mostly been watching Sherlock. People have been commenting about my RP thing. I am going to try to convey everything I want to, and that may be by just writing what I want to say, but in the tone of voice of the character. And I've managed in every previous game. This one's just a little more difficult. Kipper, I can see where you're coming from. Yesterday, I really didn't have that much to say, so I just kind of had fun. In the future, I should be saying more. If you think it's an ongoing issue this game (or any/all games), just let me know. My comment about the Reckoners: They are cool. And I want to be evil, just once. That doesn't mean I won't fight against, them though. I'm confused. There were two kills. One was the Reckoners, obviously, but the other must have been an Antimatter creator, right? Does that mean there's a Reckoner person who's an Matter Disruptor? Because that could be bad. Or there's just a loyal antimatter creator who likes disobeying orders, which isn't necessarily bad either. But whoever they targeted was protected. Both kills were. I think that'd be because of good Forcefields, not just chance. So high profile people, right? That more makes me think Reckoner more than loyal Matter Disrupter. Just saying. Since Elkanah still hasn't posted, I'll place that vote again until I get actual suspicions. EDIT: Ninja'd by Arrenae.
  9. *reads GM PM* Sparks, I wanted to be a Reckoner! They're so cool! Oh well, at least I can accuse whoever I want. Elkanah! You haven't said anything. You must be a Reckoner! I don't know if I'm going to be able to bear two games with this character. He's just... a brat, a lot of the time. There are things I want to say, and I can't say them. Hmph.
  10. Oops...I will vote this cycle, as per Hael's request. Who, though... Maill I don't know about. Sart had some evidence, but that last contradiction (of making up the Seeker entirely), while I'd like to know more about the reasoning, doesn't in fact make me more suspicious of him. An eliminator would know better than that, because he would be signing his own death warrant, almost. Part of my lessened suspicion there is also tone, which I am aware can be faked (Forged, if you like). Even so. Edited because I posted before I had finished checking characterization.
  11. El woke in the morning, lying on a hard ground which was softened by the cloak that only slightly smelled of Kassien anymore. She smiled inexplicably, for the first time in days, and got up. Four was already gone, of course. She'd slept in a bit. She made her way down and walked into the Canton to begin her work. Fortunately, no one had moved her bowl of herbs overnight. She shook out the current poultice, which had settled, and stored it away. Then she grabbed a handful of bay leaves, put them in her bowl, and walked over to the others discussing the Spiked. She sat and listened as she shredded the leaves, an open declaration that the Spiked would have to kill her, too, if they wanted to get rid of an apothecarist for the town. She smiled again, though it stretched her mouth strangely. But this time, there wasn't anything happy about it. She would find the spiked. And then they would die. I'm not even sure if El's happy mood is in character, or just me. This tells me Maill isn't evil. I wasn't convinced before, but this (and other things, but particularly this bit) implies strongly that he's good. I could be wrong, of course. Maybe he's just that good. But this doesn't sound like that to me. So I'll be trusting him for the moment.I'm also inclined to accept Hael's bargain, which leaves me without a target, really. And I really am not inclined to lynch an inactive two cycles in a row. Definitely unwise given that the Spiked are continuing to kill villagers consistently. Given that, I'll abstain for the moment until something catches my eye.
  12. Indeed, that's the only reason you could be innocent and still alive. As an eliminator, on the other hand, you being alive is much more possible, particularly given the absence of Coinshots. I still have some suspicion on you, obviously.Edited for clarification.
  13. El looked up upon Four's suggestion. For a moment she just stared, but then her face broke into a smile. "I'd be glad to stay with you," she said. Finally, someone I can trust. She grabbed her cloak from the hook (she didn't have any other belongings, anymore, except for the herbs that she'd collected, which were still in the tree. "Lead the way, then. I'll be glad for some sleep." Thanks, Mark. And if you turn out to be an eliminator and I die, there will be a beautiful betrayal scene. If there isn't one in the writeup, I'm making one, even if it's only in the spec doc. I highly doubt that anyone would be taking pity on Maill at this point, not least the eliminators. If he's dangerous to them, they're getting rid of him as soon as they think proper. (Imagine, propriety among evil! What a thought!) (Sorry, my character has developed into being kind of strange sometimes.) So, either he's not being dangerous enough, he's helping the eliminator's cause, or he is an eliminator. I'm inclined to believe the third, but I'm not opposed to the second. (The first seems unlikely.)
  14. ...You're right. I should have gone back and checked the rules. I was thinking about LG15 too much before I posted that. Never mind, then.
  15. Well. I mean. Yes. But we can also do that now, whereas whenever we lynch Jain there's no more information. I see the point, I just don't agree with it. Also. I just realized that with the absence of Coinshots, Thugs are basically unkillable, except when a Mistborn gets Coinshot. And only then. ...I'm guessing that there are several Mistborn around. Either that, or there is in fact at least one Coinshot, who's just entirely inactive. I don't really know which at this point. Thugs are going to be difficult, though, if there are any on the Eliminator team. Wonderful.
  16. Meta, that was truly beautiful. And hilarious. To be frank, this makes no sense whatsoever. We can't learn anything from Jain, as you've said. Why is that a reason to kill him? Seriously. Why.
  17. I just want to remind you that I said I would be RPing a ton this game, before it even started. (Note that you can take this as in-game if you want, it's just OOC, kind of, for me. Out of playstyle, I guess?) Actually, I was going to do entirely RP, but that was impractical, so I just limited it to RP for every time I wanted to post analysis/discussion.
