Would you be willing to remove your vote from me? Edema Ruh, remember? Okay. Based on that request, I wouldn't remove my vote. He needs to respond for himself. If that happened, I'd be happy to remove my vote. But it does still seem suspicious to me, and nothing you've said has changed that. However. I think it is perhaps better to remove all votes, so Firemuffin. My point still stands, though, and I do want to vote on you next cycle.

That is indeed what I said. What are you worrying about? You weren't the person I was aiming that sarcasm at. You read it just fine. I'm guessing it means you could have just said "I want to stay in the Horse and Four forever", instead of having to place orders each cycle. I don't know, though.I asked, and if there are no votes, no one is put up on the horns. Which is... nice? Votes are good for potentially roleblocking eliminators, but they're also quite annoying, so I don't know. Do we want to try it? EDIT: Ninja'd by Kynedath, with whom I agree not at all. We can't remove eliminators through voting unless they are definitely eliminators. And why are we not planning on voting for people once we have more evidence? That doesn't make sense.

Okay. Hello, I am here, and I have a bunch to say. I've been even more busy than I expected with traveling, unfortunately, but I'm trying to post as much as I can. I may not be able to make tuition this cycle. I'm okay with that. I'm going to get as much of this post done as possible, but be aware that there's probably more to come, because I've got 22 quotes to go through. (I love the multiquote button.) I know. I was trying to spread the votes around, not only reduce my tuition. At that time, there was only one vote total, and I thought turnover was 24 hours earlier than it was. Sorry.Vote tallies look so weird. Very long with the two-votes thing. Multiquote is a thing, you know. Also, this reminded me of a thing. NO POST ON SUNDAYS! Um. My music abililty seems... low. It feels like on the scale it would be second to lowest (just above something like "You are terrible at music. You know it, your friends know it. You don't sing. Ever.") I don't want to go back and find the post that sparked this (because effort, but "defensive" is a fine description. "Making it into a full blown feud"? Not so much. Your post is much more defensive and aggravated, it seems to me. I don't think Wonko and BB could both be eliminators, as mentioned below (far, far below). But you and BB are very possible. Just saying. The number of votes we put on people does matter. It's the part we can control. If there are no votes on a player, we guarantee that that player won't be expelled or brought on the horns. Every vote we place on them increases that probability. The first vote increases the chance most dramatically (from nothing to something[/i]), but more votes means more chance. Don't go around telling people their votes don't matter! That's sad. After this there were a number of Wonko quotes from yesterday. That dispute has been mostly resolved, so I'm deleting them, but there were a few comments I wanted to make, which are below when discussing Silverblade. Let's assume for a moment that BB's a Skindancer. (Flashbacks to yesterday, I know. But hey, I'm quoting yesterday, so whatever.He has no choice but to say he's not a Skindancer. If he doesn't, he'll look even more suspicious. For BB in particular, it's a lose-lose scenario, because he's pretty much guaranteed to get fact-checked or tons of suspicion. Bad either way. For the Skindancers in general? Take a step back, to when Wonko first posted the "I am not a Skindancer" idea. What did the Skindancers think of that? I would guess something like "eeek". My first thought was, that seems kind of game-breaking. But after thinking abotu it for a bit, I realized that it's not really that bad. It just upgrades the Linguistics Analysis from a sometimes-helpful scan to a much-more-helpful scan, because it can confirm good people. It still can't reliably find eliminators, because some Villagers will lie, for one reason or another. But the eliminators can totally say "I am not a Skindancer" each round, and really, there are enough players that catching one of them is going to take a while. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing it fairly early on. (Not first; of course. They were hoping it wouldn't catch on at that point. But early.) So it is a good idea, but it's not as helpful as it seems at first. This seems very like an eliminator, Firemuffin. (I like how the word "fire" is red there.) You're calling us to "come together and find a common enemy!", but you provide absolutely no suggestions about how to do that or who to focus on. Voting is usually like this, with fairly small numbers of votes on each person. More than that would take major evidence, which hasn't happened. If you have any suspicions or evidence, I'd be happy to hear it. Obviously, this plan has since fallen apart. But did that physicker still protect BB? That would also explain the absence of a sabotage (and also why the eliminators really were not intelligent to target him, if they did). Yes. Yes it would. Since BB, Wonko, Wonko's contact, Lopen, Kynedath, and his physicker are all involved, it seems very likely that at least one is a Skindancer. Be careful. Definitely not. I have speculated a bit above about this, but I would say wait for the rest until the writeup, which may clear it up. This seems very unlikely. Particularly since Wonko was trying so hard to get BB confirmed by Linguistic Analysis. I'm... really not sure why you said this in thread. Particularly message posting. See below for elaboration. Selfless? Because Silverblade made their messaging power useless? That seems much less like a selfless sacrifice and much more like a waste to me.Particularly with message posting. That's actually really useful this game, because of the multiple powers thing. Someone with message posting can, for instance, anonymously announce the results of a Linguistics Analysis scan, or provide information, or really whatever. All without the ability to be targeted by the eliminators, because they have no idea who the poster is! There are so many possibilities. If you keep your role secret. This is why I disagree with you about your statement that "Revealing all of your information is always in the best interests of the Village and concealing is best for the eliminators", Wonko. Eliminators aren't only concealing themselves. They're also trying to find everything out about everyone else. A student could tell the thread "I'm a Physicker. Who should I physick?" But that would be useless in protecting against eliminators, because the eliminators always know who you're going to heal. If you don't follow the thread's advice, that makes it better, if it weren't for the fact that they would kill you before you have the chance to heal anyone else. Same goes for any other role that the eliminators will particularly focus on. The difference there is that you can ask the thread for protection. But it's almost certainly not going to be consistent protection, so you're still much more likely to die than if you'd just stayed hidden. A balance to that (if necessary for passing on information or something) is a go-between for the thread. And that's fine. But the way you put it, Wonko, (and I don't think you meant it exactly this way but this is how it came out), you would be hypocritical. If you think information should be revealed to the thread, why haven't you revealed your Linguistics Analysis contact? Answer: they would die. So you don't. Perfectly sensible. But while this is a game of information, it's not as simple as "Village finds, Eliminators hide". Sorry about that. It turned into a bit of a rant. At least I got everything done. Eventually. Except for RP. But I'll do that in the morning because my bed is calling me. EDIT: Sorry about the length. This is what happens if I don't post for three days.

Agh! Two votes on me in the last fifteen minutes of the cycle! First off, as Lopen said, I'm an Edema Ruh and thus poor. Second, I need that tuition reduction more than anything right now. I have posted almost nothing, and my activity will continue to be low the next turn. And I still have to make tuition. I'm doing everything I can to reduce my tuition, thank you very much.

I am here! I will be responding to all of the posts from this cycle and the last (yes, I'm a bit backlogged), but that will certainly not finish until after turnover so I wanted to post here for this cycle's urgent stuff. 1. I am not a Skindancer. 2. Let's spread votes around! How about Araris? (No offense meant. Tuition reduction is paramount for me, particularly at the moment since I haven't posted anything (game-related) this cycle.) 3. As mentioned earlier, I will be on a plane tomorrow, so expect... different activity. Not necessarily less, actually, judging from past trips, but different. Or whatever. I'll maybe write up some points by the end of this cycle and post them, then post the rest next cycle. Or something. I don't know yet. Maybe I'll just go take a nap.

I'm not sure if anyone realizes, but the only vote at the moment is on BB. This seems unwise, so Lopen and Mark, mostly at random. Guys, voting is a good thing! Tuition reduction and spreading the DP! Right. Duh. Ignore me. "That one is a little old and cheap," said Touka, "But if that's the one you want, then go for it." Touka grinned, seeming not at all displeased at the loss of her dress. "You can change in here," Touka said quietly. "I'll just step outside for a second." She stood there for a moment, looking unwilling to move, but then walked out. Varda began to change into the dress. It took a while, because there were buttons in the back that she couldn't do very well without being able to see them, but she wasn't sure if it was appropriate to ask Touka for help. While she buttoned, she looked idly around the room. Where Touka had been standing was a shelf of shiny medals. Varda looked closer, seeing that they were for martial arts. Interesting, she thought. That's a good conversation starter! We need something to make us less awkward. She heard someone singing in the hallway. I hope that's not Touka. I have been taking a while, though... "Come in!" she called, while doing the last button on top. As Touka entered, Varda asked, "What are these medals over here? They're beautiful." I sound like an idiot. "Beautiful?" That's the best I could come up with?

Oh, you're right, it's very odd. Whenever I read an evil doc I'm always startled by how much chance and mistake goes into the loss or the win. But it's something that does happen, so you just have to get used to it.How do you know that one of the kills wasn't done by an eliminator? Answer: we don't. And a kill is generally more effective than a sabotage, so that could theoretically take priority.

A combination of those things, perhaps. They would obviously try to get a sabotage in if at all possible. But that does cut down on the number of people that would have to forget the kill. Regardless. Blocking is not the only, or even necessarily the most likely, reason for no kill, basically.

Okay. I don't know how useful that information is going to be, but it makes sense.I'm pretty sure specifically forgetting a kill happened during MR11, at least. I'd have to go back and check, though. Forgetfulness and mistakes have happened in basically every eliminator team, though, so just go read any of those. (I'd suggest that anyway, Wonko, if you haven't already, just for general knowledge purposes of how eliminator teams tend to work and how much chance goes into them.)

I personally did not. Is there a reason for asking? I would favor the first, actually, unless someone publicly comes out and says that they blocked someone. It is entirely possible for them to forget, particularly depending on the makeup of the eliminator team. I mean (although I doubt Wilson would put this team together): put, say, DC, Thisismyusername, Mark, Weaving Webs, and, I don't know, Kipper, on a team, and then have them debate for too long about who to kill without putting in an order, until no one's sure if an order's been put in or not. Or have someone say they'll put in an order but never do. It happens far more often than you'd think. But either scenario is possible.

Thanks, DC! I was wishing for that last cycle when I was doing my history homework and wanted to be writing RP instead... But now I can write instead of homework that I should be doing! Yay! Touka brought Varda to her room, small but comfortable, obviously well lived in. "Pick out whatever you want from the closet and have it," said Touka happily. She looked around, apparently a bit embarrassed, and tried to straighten a few things. "Oh, and sorry for the mess. I've been too busy studying to bother with cleaning up." There wasn't really too much of a mess, nothing that ten minutes of cleaning couldn't fix. "It's fine. Don't worry about it," Varda said, walking towards the closet. Touka stood stiffly to one side, looking unsure what to do. Varda opened the closet and looked at the clothes inside, awkwardly going through them as Touka watched equally awkwardly. She didn't want to be too picky, or take anything Touka really liked, but she didn't want to be ungrateful. She looked through the clothes for something that wasn't worst thing in the closet, but on the low end, as far as she could tell from the dress of the girls she'd seen out and about. Finally she picked out a mediocre light blue dress, nothing fancy, but certainly modest enough to suit her. "Will this do? I don't want to take anything that's special to you, and I don't need much."

So. Six people were elevated. Obviously we can't know exactly how the eliminators planned it, but it seems highly likely (to me, at least) that at least one of those elevated is a Skindancer. It's almost certain, in fact, because it's a big enough sample size that one of them is almost certain to be an eliminator. But there is a higher chance than usual for one of them to be a Skindancer, basically. This is probably obvious, but I thought it might be worth saying. Also, I have just realized that we will know with relative certainty who the Masters are as soon as they're elevated. Whoever is elevated four times, that is. This can be mixed up a little for people who put EP in multiple fields, but even so. That's a little weird to realize. It's information, though, so that's useful! But it's the kind of thing that I'd prefer no one know to everyone knowing, just because it's information that's most useful to the eliminators. Too bad, I suppose. We'll just have to make sure those people are protected? Maybe? Though they're also more likely to be Skindancers, so. I don't know. If you can't tell, I'm tired. Sorry for the ramblings.

I'll join! Character to come when I choose a playstyle. Fair warning: I'm not sure how my activity's going to look for this game, since I'm going on a trip. But hopefully I'll still be relatively active.

No problem. Yeah, I noticed that I was doing that too. I think it's partly because of the particular story I'm telling, and partly because I don't want to force someone to RP with me when they don't want to do as much as I do. (And I couldn't really avoid separating from Wilem. It was basically inevitable.) And the time-format of this particular game makes RPing a good deal more difficult, particularly telling an actual story like I tried to do in AG2. (Of course, it helped that I started with a pre-existing relationship in that one.) Um... Yay? Also, I just realized that how long this game is going to be, because of the win cons and the limits on kills. The shortest way I can imagine the game ending is the Skindancers managing to become Masters of all nine fields eventually. As opposed to either all of them being expelled and then also sabotaged, or all of them being killed by assassins, or everyone going to the Crockery and then being killed once we're in there. Any way we do this, this game is going to be very long. Not only the most complicated game ever, but also very possibly the longest! (Actually. I don't know what the longest game has ever been. Was it AG2, maybe?)
