  1. Sart is a Blood Tyrant, I believe. As far as I know (and I might be wrong), none of those three options are Evanescents. So they're all open. Also, I'm not going to be on until after turnover, potentially. So donate your points and whatever! My action is sent in. Good enough.
  2. Got it. I didn't realize that Elk PM'ed Mark claiming to be on his faction because of using points. That wasn't clear. I will wait for Dano to get on to see if there is an explanation. But I can't think of any, so we'll see what happens. In other news, anyone else have any input on who to scan? Options are Stink, Lopen, or Alv. Or anyone on the street, I suppose, but I think it would be better to scan someone in my location.
  3. Wait, I'm confused. Where's the deception in here? Maybe I'm just tired and can't think, but I don't really understand why this means Dano is automatically evil.Second point, and the actual reason I'm posting. Did anyone donate one point to the Blood Tyrants? Apparently, if Meta were evil I would have 16.5 points and if he weren't I would have 13.5. I have 14.5 points, so something's off somewhere. It seems more likely that Meta wasn't a GA, though. Anyone able to help with that? If you don't want to reveal in thread, try to talk to Lopen or Alv and they can tell me.
  4. I have 14.5 points. Who else donated, and how many do you think you donated? I'm certainly not scanning you, but it's up to Clanky's discretion who he scans. And now that you've asked, it probably won't be you, since you're who the Watchful Tails person will target. (And yes, it's an IKYK now. Oh well.)I know I can't vote. I just didn't bother to change it from the post I wrote for before turnover, because I knew it wouldn't count anyway.
  5. ...I would prefer that you donate your points to your Bank so that I or Clanky can perform more scans. But it's your choice, depending on the importance of the information. And if you don't have a Banker, that's fine, then.
  6. Reproduced for your amusement (and because I don't want to bother rewriting the salient points) is the post I was going to put up before turnover, but never got the chance: Just wanted to point out this post, since it didn't go in until after turnover and it is a fair point: So you lynching a fellow eliminator is not necessarily an indicator of innocence. That would be nice! Also, Sart, assuming I get on in time to post this. Which seems unlikely. But possible! I have hope. Okay. I can see this happening. I think it could have been avoided, but I can see how you would think that. Even so, I still think that Meta's other plan is much more of an advantage to the Villagers than this one was ever a detriment. That's the main reason why I believe he's innocent. Really? Can you give me one other time, please? I just honestly don't remember any other time he brought that up. As I've said before, Meta is always aggressive, because he knows he doesn't have time to waste with niceness when he's going to die soon. (Apparently by lynch this time, which is stupid in my opinion.) So aggressiveness is not an indication of alignment, in this case. Just saying. First, this makes me irritated. That's beside the point, though.Second, does that mean if someone else kills you at the same time as you set off your power, you won't die? Or will you? I'm confused by that. So, I don't know who's coming in the Pub with me. I would stay that Lopen should come in only if Meta is almost certainly getting lynched. I can maybe scan Stink and Meta both, this Night and then the following Day, but I think three other people is a bit too much. Okay. Last thing. About Meta. I'm really not sure why everyone's trying to lynch him. It makes sense that the GAs would want to lynch him, just because he's terrifying when good, and that way they wouldn't have to waste a kill on him. But why is everyone else voting on him? He was the one who proposed the plan that let us focus only on the GAs instead of both them and the faction war. Focusing on factions is the best way to lose the game to the GAs, hands down. I don't care whether there's backstabbing after the GAs are all dead. (I don't want there to be backstabbing, since I'm playing for the group win, but I accept that it'll probably happen.) But before? No. So definitely don't vote on Meta just because of his gang, only if you actually think he's a GA. And I really doubt that, because as I said, he was the one who brought up the group win plan. He didn't have to. If here were an eliminator, no one would point fingers at him because he wasn't bringing up this plan, because they had no reason to think of it. No one would notice the absence of an idea, and the absence of this particular idea would be most ideal for the eliminators. Thus, I'm almost certain he's innocent, and am suspicious of everyone voting on him (and yes, Ada, that includes you). There's my spiel. Now to just hope that I find wifi in time to post it before turnover ends... *waits nervously* If Meta dies this turnover and I don't get on until afterwards, I'm going to be very upset.... Waiting is annoying. So, obviously, Meta died. He can be brought back, which I personally would like (although obviously it's up to those with that power to decide who they want to bring back). Here's what I've got. Meta was an Epic. He told me he was a protection Epic, like a bodyguard, except only able to protect at night. The compensation for that is that he could self-target. We were going to try to make the GAs target him, but that didn't happen, obviously. They just used the lynch instead. (If you haven't noticed, I still believe he was innocent.) As for the "reveal" to Lopen? That was almost certainly a gambit to try to get either Lopen to reveal as a GA, or for Lopen to reveal it to the thread for a reaction. And a reaction it did get, from SD. Just saying. Maybe I'm wrong, and it was a true reaction. But that's not what my instinct's telling me. Particularly when almost the same thing happened in LG16. I do have enough points to scan, which is nice. And if enough points are donated, it's very possible that I'll be able to scan someone again during the day. So donate your points, people! So, who should I scan, then? We have three choices. Alv, Lopen, or Stink. There seems to have been a bit of mix up in communication there, unfortunately, but that's too bad. We'll have to deal with that as it is.
  7. More things to say! Hi! Welcome! Definitely follow Burnt's advice. If you haven't, also read the General Rules, and also read through another game if you have time. I'm not entirely sure why you think that it would have resulted in tunneling on a particular faction. Can you elaborate on that? Was that more than the one time, though? As far as I can remember (and I might be wrong), he's only commented on his not dying once. It was just worded a bit confusingly, so there was discussion around it. I can confirm that he's revealed that action to me. He has not yet proved it. On that note. If any person I scan from this point on is [redacted], I will declare you evil. So if you're a Watchful Tail, make sure that your power is turned off. Stink, if you're a Watchful Tail, I'm going to be very annoyed.
  8. I know more than this has happened, but this is what I have time to respond to right now. I will make clear that even though I am a Blood Tyrant, I am going entirely for the group win. But as I've said, I don't care who I scan particularly. That is unfortunate news, and also explains why my scan was blank. Not because of an Epic, but just a Watchful Tail. Almost certainly an eliminator one (although if you're a good Watchful Tail who targeted Meta, please come forward), so scanning will probably have to be in rooms rather than on the streets. This isn't good, as it guarantees that each Banker will only find one eliminator before being killed. I can't really think of a way around that, though.
  9. I think it should be up to the thread. Anyone have any input? If you'll be around again, Elodin, just check the thread at that point. I will likely be on once, very briefly, in 10 hours or so. After that point, all bets are off, so I won't be able to change anything after that point. However, I shouldn't have to change anything, only the people going with me in the Pub. So go ahead and get that figured out however you want. As long as I have someone to scan, I don't care. My orders are already sent in, so I'm going to bed.
  10. Right. Never mind that. Danosaur's also an option, then. Stink is also a possibility, since I'm guessing he's still going to be in the Pub next cycle, and it'd be nice not to have a possible knife in my back the whole time. (No offense.)
  11. Right. So Meta we've discussed. Kipper was drunk, so he didn't make the kill. Danosaur was attacked, which is kind of a partial clearing. SD was hopefully scanned by Clanky. So Elodin or Lopen, correct? In that case, I'd pick Lopen, just because either way we gain more from your alignment. (Though I'd tend to suspect Elodin a bit more.) Up to the thread, though. Who do you want me to scan? Random reminders. 1. Please send in your points! Bankers need them! 2. You can make a PM again. Choose wisely. 3. Don't forget location orders! Don't end up on the streets!
  12. I mean. It might be smartest to scan Meta again, just to get that out of the way. But I personally think he's good, and I'm not sure anyone else thinks he's evil, so there are probably better targets. I'd say in particular, anyone who hasn't been scanned who was in one of the buildings in which people died is a good bet. Does anyone have a list of that? I don't have time to go back and look right now. Alv, I'd say you're definitely not a high priority target right now, seeing as you've only recently come into your alignment and haven't interacted with the thread much, so there's not much we can learn from you. Meta, Lopen, or Ada would probably be my top picks for that. But I do have a reason. I'm scanning people. Thank you for not killing me, though.
  13. Awesome.I do have less awesome news, though. All I discovered is that there's a role (likely an Epic) which can hide others' alignment (I discovered that Meta is [redacted], basically). Or their own alignment, I suppose, though I'm guessing that's not the case here. It looks like we're going to have people have to actually come in the Pub or the Pool with the scanners, sadly.
  14. Welcome, Draigar! Post soon, please. I want to meet you! Right, of course. That's fine, then. Stink, I would appreciate it if you went to a different room, but obviously it's your choice. So, something is up with all of the points, apparently. Does anyone have the right number of points? I think I've told the thread what points I've received each cycle. If I missed a day or whatever, let me know and I'll tell you what I had. But there was one huge jump, from 3 to 8. Whoever helped with that, thanks a bunch. Reminder. Do not donate to your bankers tonight, but please do tomorrow when the day comes around, and maybe we'll be able to get a scan done tomorrow night. Probably not. But maybe! And if people don't keep points to themselves (ahem), we can definitely have scans every other night.
  15. This is the problem with protection and scanning roles. You would think that you'd catch Eliminators left and right, but the truth is that it's ridiculously difficult to find Eliminators. Nice for the eliminators, I guess, but quite annoying for the Villagers.I wonder if anyone else has Linguistic Analysis at this point... If you do, please find yourself a proxy and have that proxy reveal to the thread. That way each Analyst can scan each other, just in case the current Analyst is an Eliminator, and thus must say that everyone is Village.
  16. I mean. If you're elevated to El'the and get those 5 EP, it's just a no-cost elevation rather than an actual bonus unless you have less than 5 EP in the first place. Which is unlikely, though possible, if you've made it all the way to El'the. So, with the "someone protected someone" thing, I'm presuming that's from the Skindancer sabotage, since there wasn't one. That means that we either have a WGG gone wrong because someone forgot to ask if the protected person would be revealed in the writeup (which is possible but unlikely), or someone's really good (or really lucky) at guessing the Skindancer target. Either way, good. No sabotage is good. I'm less thrilled that no one's managed to protect from a kill before, but I understand that protection rarely works, so it's fine. Not much to say other than that. Meh. Maybe I'll do some RP again, just because I want to. It doesn't really require wifi to type out, after all, and I do have plenty of time in the car. Maybe Varda could react to DC's insanity (though I'm a bit late on that). Or not. We'll see. Whatever. Wonko, any more analyst results? Also, I am not a Skindancer.
  17. That's fair, I guess. I didn't think about the lynch. I'm fine either way, then. Yes, I notice that. Reason why you're in the pub? When several people specifically asked people not to be? Fortunately, yes. 9.5, actually. Basically perfect. So here's the choice for everyone. Do I scan Stink, now, since he's in the pub with me, or scan Meta, since he had the courtesy to go out on the streets? I'm thinking Meta, since if Stink kills me you'll all know who the eliminator is anyway. That's the order I'm sending in right now, anyway. If people want me can change them, I'll be on in the morning very briefly. Please bold anything you want to say to me because I may not have time to read through the whole thread in the morning.
  18. I love unexpected free wifi! Myself, I'd prefer to scan actives, because of two reasons. One, they're much more likely to actually be there to scan. Two, confirmation on an active player (or reveal of an active eliminator) is much more useful to the Village than confirmation on someone who's not talking anyway. Because that remark won't make your suspicion think you're onto him/her at all (if they're an eliminator, anyway). Any turn, day or night.
