  1. I think Baon. He's the oldest and the least invested (though atium probably doesn't really do anything health-wise). But they were probably all asymptomatic, as their immune systems could deal with it quite handily. But they did eat and drink, and if the cook didn't thoroughly wash the utensils and cups and so forth carefully, then that was probably the method of transmission.
  2. He wouldn't even remember doing it. Vasher killed Shashara with Nightblood. Nightblood thinks she's still alive.
  3. I'm familiar with what the annotations say. By the way, they aren't immune to his effects unless he's fed on them. The point I was discussion was this: At no point does Nightblood consciously decide to kill or not kill someone. He leaves that up to his bearer.
  4. I don't think that Nightblood would have the ability to refuse to kill someone, or care if he killed the wrong person. His sense of memory and time are...not great when he's drawn or wreaking mischief.
  5. Brandon has said there's no magic to the Thaylen Passions. It's just a religion, and a somewhat recent one, too.
  6. Also this needs to go into the OB spoilers forum, since it mentions OB spoilers.
  7. It's not a voidbringer
  8. As Scion said, Hoid definitely predates the Shattering. There used to be bits of his origin story available to read on Brandon's website but they've gotten lost Have you read the Traveler excerpt on on Arcanum? It's an unpublished scene that Brandon read from recently, showing a meeting between Hoid and Frost. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/332-jordancon-2018/#e9518 My persona theory is that Hoid is trying to bring someone back from the dead. Yeah, Dalinar said, "I am Unity" not Harmony. Harmony is someone else. We have no idea who or what Unity will turn out to be, but there are plenty of speculations. You can Search them on the top right
  9. There's a WoB on your being able to do this but I can't find it... it basically says that you can sell them as long as you don't claim they are stormlight spheres or reference the books in your description. Market them as generic "fantasy spheres" and you're okay. Edit: Found it, it wasn't transcribed. Go down to 4425 and 4426. You'll need an Arcanum account if you don't have one, to see it. It's separate from 17ths account or coppermind account. https://wob.coppermind.net/source/audio/240/edit/
  10. ......? Oh do you mean my original post? Yeah I added that I was wrong already, thanks Also, I'm glad that my thought experiment on how the gems should be round works out physically too! So now we need to figure out something that looks and acts like glass, but doesn't need to be heated as much, as the actual material of the spheres?
  11. Hmmm cool. But that's still the bones, not the body
  12. We heard from Peter this last weekend. The chips are about .1 carat, the marks are .5 carat and the broams are 2 carats. And they're working on canonizing the cuts. @LordOfStorms would dripping the glass onto the gem work? Or like, having the bottom half of the glass formed, with a hollow for the gem, put the gem inside, and then drip the glass over it?
  13. Nightblood is actually heavy in both worlds. I don't think Szeth ever describes him as light? And yep, Nightblood is sword-nimi and Vasher is Zahel. Azure is Vivenna. Warbreaker was written as a kind of prequel to Stormlight.
  14. Sadly, MAG is not canon. They tweaked things and made up things for it to work, including stuff that Brandon hasn't answered/canonized yet. I know they worked with DS to make it as close as possible, but I'm uncomfortable with us using anything from it. We're going to get a hemalurgy table released soon, which should answer some of these questions, at least. Kelsier's original body was digested, and Oreseur used his bones to impersonate him. He hid the bones somewhere and then the world ended. Unless Sazed took care to not destroy the bones, I think they're pretty much gone.
  15. Sadly, it would not work that way.
  16. That's really nice looking! But a bit insectlike?
  17. 9 months after release *ahem*
  18. We've discussing this avidly on discord. Two carats is pretty huge for a gemstone, and .1 carat is actually realllly tiny. And it's interesting that they're linear. On Earth, the cost/value of a gemstone gets much higher the bigger it is. So 2 carats is worth way more than 2x 1 carat. And they're working on canonizing the cuts. W00t!
  19. To all Skybreaker PSA makers. Your Fifth Oath is to Become the Law, not shout, "I AM THE LAW!" Please consult with your trainer for further information.
  20. To all Skybreakers who have been tasked with ensuring the new chairs are aluminum, please take any offenders to the proper authorities to be assigned punishment. Do not shout, "I AM THE LAW!" while taking matters into your own hands. Thank you.
  21. Honor is dead and the Oathpact broken. Cultivation is intervening directly for the first time in centuries. The Everstorm has come. Everything is different this time around for sure!. I think with Honor dead, a lot of the limits that were on the Radiants are gone, and that they can now do things on a much higher scale than before. What Calderis said. Also, in the same scene, when Shallan opens her eyes, Jasnah is still sitting there, and opens her eyes a few moments later. Neither of them went there physically, just with their minds. We also have a WoB on the matter:
  22. Sadly, Wit neither switched or has the Honorblade. So we don't really have any hints as to who has it. A secret society is quite likely. The Ghostbloods or maybe the Dysians would be my top pics.
  23. Burning the spikes would have a really funky effect that we don't know. It wouldn't permanently graft anything onto his spiritweb, though. The only element that does that is lerasium, as far as we know.
  24. I have "don't post when overly tired" stapled to the insides of my eyelids, from experience ;D
