It's still Ruin and Preservation. They're intermingled but still disparate, like homogenized milk, or dirt and water making mud. They could be separated out but it would be difficult and take effort.
-
That seems to be a different subject than what the OP is asking about.

Eh? It says you can't Awaken a dead Shardblade, which is a deadeye.

It's extremely unlikely to become Returned unless you're a native Nalthian, and likewise difficult to become an Allomancer unless you're a native Scadrian. Also, Vasher is confirmed to only have visited the PR of Nalthis and Roshar. Denth and Shashara are siblings, so they would both have had to come from Scadrial, too, which increases the unlikelyhood that they both would have Returned.

The Aviar's biology evolved with the worms into a symbiosis. Other species would not have evolved in the right way to form the symbiosis.

I agree. He's taking up such little bits that it's not going to come close to even TLR with the Well, let alone a Shard, and incredibly removed from Adonalsium. I think he just wants access to as much as he can because he thinks it'll be useful, not as an end in itself.

I think if the hair is still attached, it would be the equivalent to how in Mistborn You'd have to be able to get past that resistance in order to manage it.

It needs some regular use, so Miles might not have burned Allomantic gold enough to develop the Resonance.

Everything we know about Hoid and his powers can be found on the Coppermind https://coppermind.net/wiki/Hoid . Look under Abilities.

1. We don't know 2. We don't know 3. There's a decreasing rate of return, if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if that's canon still, but it probably is. Drile probably already did the overmastering, and that's how he got up to 25 so far. 4. To keep the powerful powerful and keep the lessers their lessers. 5. White Sand takes place the earliest of any cosmere works, it might be before Autonomy really started to look for him. Also, he knows how to lie low. I'm sure he could figure a way to keep from getting noticed.

Is Hoid allowed to inflict harm for the purposes of this competition? If so, then he wins. 10,000 or so of experience, knowledge, and access to multiple types of investiture+immortal and insane healing abilities is hard to beat.

Has anybody wonder which Mega spren Gavilar was bonding
RShara replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Stormlight Archive
The Sibnling's been slumbering since the Recreance, so that's unlikely as well. It's certainly the Stormfather. -
Yes, it's possible Hoid has sand mastery. What I'm saying is, we have never seen him use it or exhibit any signs of using it.
-
I think the bits I quoted show that he does not use sand mastery at any point.
-
Yes, he would be able to.

Or at least, that's what we guess is happening

Warbreaker spoilers. (Maybe this thread should be moved to Cosmere?)

Sorry, that's a little backward. The jar of sand was in his pack, and didn't move. And the jar was mostly black, but the side toward Shallan was white, because it absorbed some of her stormlight and got charged up. Smoke at least, yes. It's almost certainly Yolish Lightweaving that he's using there. We've never seen him use sand mastery that I can identify.

That may be, but that's different than being a "militant atheist".

I'm a little confused. How is Jasnah a militant atheist? She makes it a point to respect people for what they are, regardless of belief. Note how she defends Taravangian to Shallan, despite his seemingly "simplemindedness". And she's not trying to "convert" people to atheism or contradict their beliefs unless they start in on her first.

powers and limitations of an elantrian
RShara replied to king of nowhere's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Well Raoden drew a line with a stick in dirt, and Elantris started working. Pretty sure that dirt didn't stay perfectly drawn for very long. Also: -
Iyatil was born in Silverlight. Her heritage is Scadrian, but Brandon compares it to how his heritage is partially Dutch.
